"Ohh" I replied, and continued washing the plates. She quietly cleaned the plates lost in her thoughts.

"You don't want to talk to him?" She asked. I wonder if I should be pissed she is intruding or I should just answer her. I looked up at her and she looks like she genuinely cares.

"It's not like I don't want to reply to him, I just don't want to bother him with my life when he is going through his own issues" I said, washing the plates.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"Well he just recently went through a lot with his former marriage and he is working towards bringing his company back to its feet while trying to search for my non-existent mother, I don’t think it’s fair to bother him with my life” I said. She went quiet.

“You think your mother is non-existent?” she asked, softly.
