"Are you sure sir, my daughter Anna is more capable as she is the elder one, she is also the one the world knows I think she is more capable for your son" mom said, me and Anna nod along with her. I am just 22 years old, I am not ready for marriage, I just want to focus on my career for now. Anna is very much ready to get married to Everett, she is super in love with him. I never even had a boyfriend I was like the ghost in high school and Anna was the popular one, I don't even know how to be in a relationship and marriage is on another level.

"That is who I have chosen Jessica and you have no say about my choice" papa Pat said, sternly.

"Bu…"

"Not another word Jessica, he has made his choice" dad said.

"I will be leaving now, I will inform my grandson about the marriage and get back to you" he said, standing up.

"Okay Sir, thank you for coming" dad said, standing up to shake him. They did their shake. Dad wanted to walk him out.

"No, don't worry Henry. Sophie, see me out" papa Pat said. I looked at Anna, mum was consoling her as she was crying. I follow papa Pat out. We got to his car.

"Sophie" he called.

"Yes" I answered.

"Do you want to marry my grandson?" He asked.

"No I don't" I answered, honestly.

"I know you are not interested in marrying my grandson, but only you can handle my grandson, you are the balance he needs. He is very wild and you are calm. Your sister and my grandson has the same wild personality. I need someone that can tame him. So please just give this marriage a chance, if it doesn't work out you are free to walk away. I will still help your family, but just stay for like two to three years, that is all I ask" he said, holding my hands.

"I will try papa Pat, but I can't promise you anything" I said.

"I know Sophie but just stay for like 3 years, I really think the both of you are match made in heaven" he said. I laugh a little. Still trying to make jokes in a serious situation.

"Okay papa Pat" I said.

"Thank you my dear, I will start going now" he said.

"Bye papa Pat" I said, kissing his cheeks. He kissed mine back. His chauffeur came and opened the car door for him. He entered the car and waved at me. I waved back. The car left and I turned to enter the house back. Sophie you are in big trouble, I wish there is a way to avoid this impending conversation, I also wish I have a friend that I can run away too because I will be blamed for everything that happened and it is not my fault he chose me. I took a deep breath before I entered the living room, dad was awkwardly seating on a chair looking at mom and Anna. while mom was consoling Anna and Anna was crying, no she was wailing. Her make up was all ruined, with her black mascara running down her cheeks, she looks horrible.

"Mom why didn't he choose me, I am the better sister and the classy sister and everyone knows I love Everett but Sophie took him away from me, she rubbed him away from my happiness" she said, still crying. Mom ran her hands down her back. I knew I will be blamed, I am always blamed for everything.

"Stop crying Anna, it is all Sophie fault" mom said. I am not surprised she is blaming me, Anna will always be her most preferred daughter and I am just Sophie. Anna suddenly look up and she saw me. She stood up with a murderous look in her eyes.

"You!, You fucking took Everett from me you stupid bitch! I told you to stay fucking low he was supposed to be mine!, but you just had to be acting all lovey dovey!" She yelled. Her make up was ruined. She looked awful.

"Calm down Anna, I didn't do anything, I kne….."

"Shut up! Shut the fuck up!, you did this purposely, you fucking did this purposely!" She yelled, crying. Gosh today is not my best day at all. I don't even want to marry Everett! I don't even know how or what he looks like!

"I didn't do anything!, I already knew him before what was I supposed to fuck….."

Slap!

Mom cut me off with a slap. My head turned to the other side harshly with my neck making a sound. I held my cheek and looked at mom with tears in my eyes. Dad stood up from his seat.

"Jessica!" dad yelled, coming up beside me.

"Don't Jessica me, do not fucking Jessica me or call my name!" she yelled.

"Why will you hit my daughter!" he yelled.

"I have every fucking right to hit her Henry!, I can fucking hit her if I chose too!" She yelled back. I look at mum, why is she always like this. Why is it that everytime she is always defensive when it comes to Anna.

"Mother why do you always do this, why do you keep on taking her side over mine!, I am also your daughter!" I yelled, fed up with everything.

"What daughter!, you are not my daughter! You can never be my daughter you stupid bastard! And you will never be my daughter, ask your father where your stupid whore of a mother is!" She screamed.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused. She laughed hysterically.

"Why don't you ask your father," she said. I looked at dad who was still standing beside me.

"Dad, what does she mean?" I asked. He looked at me guilty.

"Sophie, I'm so sorry," he said.

"What does she fucking mean!" I yelled.

"Sophie, Jessica is not your real mother"
