Chapter 43: Second chance
"I made a soup for you. You lose a lot of strength so you need to eat." She got stunned when after an hour he left her room, he came back carrying a tray of soup and some bite-sized chopped fruits. He gently helped her to get up and seated next to her then.
"D-Did you cooked this?" She couldn't help to ask.
"I'm not good at cooking unlike you but I think this is edible. Just bear my cooking please..." He replied apologetically.
She hid a smile for that because she felt it was kinda sweet for him to cook for her which he never did before. Did Alex really exert some effort and cooked for her? Since when the high and mighty Alexander De Hizon learned to cook and use a stove? This was all new to her.
She saw him scoop some soup using the spoon and feed her. Her mouth willingly opened and ate the soup. She saw him smiled as if he was pleased she followed him.
"Good girl." He stated.
