Rosalia's POV

“No, Rosalia, I will not go!” he challenged, covering the distance between us. I was glued to the wall with nowhere else to go.

“I have been apart from you for way too long to turn back now, slap me if you must, punish me, but don’t deprive me of you.” My skin prickled with goosebumps and my fury gave way for another burning sensation.

The intensity of his gaze didn’t need the mate bond to pave the way for him, it was as if my soul was on display for him to see and understand.

I gulped hard, denial on my tongue, to push him away but he knew I didn’t need solace.

I was confused, hurt and worse broken inside.
