Rosalie's POV

At his utterance the guards closed in on me, ready to pounce on me. For a moment, my brain couldn't keep up, and I stood there with a bemused expression.

Surely they couldn't be insinuating I was a thief?

“Lock her up!” Alpha Kincaid ordered. As the guards reached out I snapped out of my daze.

“I didn’t steal anything!” The words tore out of me as I tried to flee from the guards.

No… no… this couldn't be happening.

I had been called a lot of things but never a thief, it was more demeaning than being called weak.

“I didn't steal anything please you have to believe. Someone has to believe me” I pleaded as the guards grabbed me on both sides.

I kicked and squirmed in their hold refusing to go down without a fight.

There had to be some kind of mistake.

“What did I even steal? I have no idea what the family heirloom is!” I pleaded, my eyes stung with unshed tears.

The adrenaline pumped through my veins momentarily pushing away the exhaustion I felt earlier.
