100. Tattoos to hide painful past

Roseline's POV

"I was tortured," I managed to say amidst my sobs, the words barely coming out of my lips as my emotions took a toll on me.

His body froze, and a mixture of shock, anger, and sadness crossed his face. He seemed to struggle with finding the right words to respond

"For two years," I managed to say anyhow while he gave me time.

"I... I..." I tried to continue, but my emotions were choking my words.

Finally, after a moment of gathering courage, I continued,

"Could you see these tattoos?" I moved the sleeves a bit up.

I showed him the tattoo of stars on my wrist and his attention shifted to where I was pointing.

"This black ink hides the dark days of my life," I said softly, my voice trembling with emotion as my eyes dropped down to the tattoos.

He didn't say anything, allowing me to pour out my feelings without interruption.

I am sure he must have noticed them before as well but you never asked me. Perhaps taking them as normal tattoos.
