Chapter 20

Amelia's POV

The old man opened the gate for someone to walk in, I screamed at the sight of Pamela, rushing down the stairs to go and meet with her. "Pam!" I screamed in excitement, smiling and hugging her briefly.

"Ma'am," she called, walking before me and I looked at her from behind. We got into the house and I gave her some time to arrange the stuff she had brought with her from her mother's house. 

"How is she?" I asked the minute she walked into my room from dropping her small backpack in her room.

"She sent her greetings," she said in response. We had a little conversation, moved to the kitchen when I heard a car honk its horn at the gate. I paused, waiting for the gateman to open the gate, but he did not.
