Chapter 26

Luke's POV

We halted at the gate of the airport.

"Good morning," the cab man said to an official who waved at us. The girls' faces were expressionless and I urged them to smile, thoughts of getting caught causing me to fidget.

"Here," the man said, bringing his car to a stop far from the main gate of the airport. I greeted him, hopped down from the cab and saw the other car that was following from behind. One of the guards signalled me, asking me to come over.

"Don't move," I said to the girls who were still in the car. "I'd be back," I told the cab man and moved to the other car. The guard showed me the man that owns the big envelope I was given the day before, reminding me of the code I did not forget. How could I have forgotten? I would be in trouble if I did.

I nodded at the men and moved back to the car where the girls sat still. I removed a few notes from my purse, throwing them at the cab man who smiled, picking the notes from where it had fallen.

"Come on," I said to the girl
