Amelia's POV

I woke up at a later time than normal the next morning after the moment with Ethan. It was a hot morning at the house, the sun shone at me directly through the curtains that hung on the windows.

When I turned on the bed, I opened my eyes to see Ethan had left for work. I beeped Pamela from my room and she was in my room the next moment.

"Ma?" She called when she walked in. I was careful enough to cover myself and the whole bed with the duvet, just in case there were stains that should not be seen. I don't know, but my instincts asked me to.

"Good morning, Pam," I greeted back and Pamela sat on the couch opposite from the bed, "you beeped me, ma."

"Has Ethan left for work?" I asked and she nodded, "he refused to have breakfast," she answered.
