CHAPTER 1-LET'S GET MARRIED!

"Miss Kate, have you thought this through properly? Mr. Jack has impotence. It is a sexual disease, a condition in which the penis cannot get erect or maintain an erection, despite sexual stimulation. If you marry him, it will mean widowhood all your life, Miss Kate." The lawyer repeatedly reminded her of this.

The look in Kate's eyes showed that she had made up her mind. "I'm already convinced. Please give me the contract, I'll sign it." Kate replied casually.

Kate's mother was very ill, while her father was busy gambling and drinking. Her younger sibling also wandered around every day and lived a useless life. None of her family could be relied upon to help her earn money to pay for her mother's surgery. So, Kate had no choice but to accept the contract marriage with Jackson.

The lawyer took out a document containing a thick contract and handed it to Kate. "Miss Kate, this is the contract. Please read the contents well. If there are no questions, please sign it immediately."

Kate closed her eyes and regulated her hurried breathing. Then, she picked up the document and read it page by page.

About 10 minutes later, Kate put down the document and picked up a pen that was on the table. Then, she signed the contract. Kate wrote her name and signature on the white A4 sheet of paper, then she paused and put down her pen.

"I've signed it." Kate said to Roy. Kate's eyes were fixed on the name she had written on the counter. She was imagining that soon she would be the wife of a man, and that man was a man who suffers impotency.

"Miss Kate, this is the paper proof of transfer to your account." Roy said.

Roy took back the contract and gave a transfer receipt paper as a receipt for Kate. The look on Kae's face was very serious. "Thank you," said Kate.

Kate bowed her head and fingered the edge of the receipt with her delicate fingers. She finally breathed a sigh of relief, as her mother was saved.

Two days later,

Several black cars stopped in front of an old building. The doors opened and dozens of people in suits wearing sunglasses got out of the cars. One of them ran to the second most forward car and opened the door while bending his body. The state-of-the-art car lowered an automatic step, and slowly a man in a wheelchair got out of the car.

Kate looked at him from the balcony upstairs. She didn't know how to describe the man's features. His eyebrows and eyeballs were pitch black, his nose was sharp and his thin lips gave the impression that he was unapproachable. Every detail of his handsome face looked like a perfectly carved sculpture without the slightest flaw. That man is so handsome!

It was just that the man who was so handsome was someone who was disabled.  Because of this, he had to be in a wheelchair.

The man in the wheelchair realized that Kate was looking at him. Then, he immediately raised his head and looked into Kate's beautiful eyes. Kate's body reflexively shook like she was being electrocuted, and she immediately turned her eyes away from the man.

When Kate looked back at him again, the man was no longer looking at her. Only his bodyguards were seen talking to him and occasionally they bowed their bodies.

The wheelchair man raised his hand to stop his bodyguards from talking. Then, his wheelchair was pushed to enter the building. The expression on his face was still so indifferent and cold.

Kate stayed on the balcony until the man was out of sight, but she was still looking in the direction where he was. This was the first time Kate was so stunned to see a man.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Kate immediately turned to the source of the sound and she walked into the living room. "It's not yet time to pay the rent, so why would someone come and knock on the door?" asked Kate in her heart.

Kate opened the door and she was immediately surprised when she saw the man she had seen earlier now in front of Kate's apartment door. He was the man in the wheelchair.

"Kate Sydnee?" The man looked at Kate with a serious and determined gaze. There was no smile on his lips. His face looked unfriendly.

"Yes, I'm Kate Sydnee. I'm sorry, Sir. What's the matter?" asked Kate. She stood in confusion because she didn't know what to do. Because, she didn't recognize the man in front of her.

"You forgot, just two days ago you signed a marriage contract with me!"

Kate was shocked. She only remembered now, and to be sure, Kate stammered at the man. "Are you Mr. Jack-son Ma-tte-w?"

"Jackson Mattew!" the man in the wheelchair said clearly. This was because he was annoyed to hear Kate stammer out his name.

Kate stared at Jack's handsome face with her mind blank. "Sorry, Mr. Jack. What are you looking for me about, Mr. Jack?"

"You want to cancel our marriage contract?" asked Jack with a terrible aura. Jack's question made Kate realize how stupid her question was. What else could Jack have come to her for besides wanting to talk about their contract marriage?

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jack. I didn't mean to cancel our contract marriage. I just..." Before Kate could finish her sentence, Jack had already spoken firmly, "Then, let's go!"

Kate was confused by Jack's invitation. She was hesitant, so she asked with an innocent expression on her face. "Sorry, Sir. Where are we going?"

"Register office to get married!" Jack replied with a cool face.
