Carl and I looked at each other, then the physician. "Pregnant!" We both yelled.

"Yes, pregnant. The queen is pregnant," he repeated, smiling widely.

What! How can I be pregnant, we only had sex once? I thought, blinking repeatedly.

"Are you sure? Maybe she just ate too much, you know she's a glutton," Carl blurted out, pointing at my belly.

"What's that suppose to mean?" I yelled, glaring at him.

"Your majesty, my queen, there is no need to argue. If you don't believe me, you can ask another physician to check the queen, I'm sure they will say the same thing."

"There's no need for that. I've known you for years, there's no way you'd make a mistake over something like that," Carl muttered.

"Thank you! your majesty. I'd advise the Queen not to do any strenuous activities. She needs a lot of rest, and also has to eat mostly fruits and vegetables," the physician cautioned.

"Thank you! sir Thomas," Carl lauded, giving him a small smile, and he nodded, returning the smile.
