Chapter 37

Silence enveloped the garden.

Damn it. It’s super awkward. Like... really, really awkward. It is all my fault though and I won't deny that. I’m a nosy person but not all the time!

I cleared my throat as I picked up a slice of a chocolate cake. I need to at least change the topic.

I picked up my fork and sliced a tiny amount of cake. Good thing I already ate my fill earlier. If I didn’t, I would probably have indigestion.

I’m not good at socializing and stuff like that. I’m a quiet, almost introvert person who don’t know how to start a conversation so don’t expect me to lift this damn mood easily.

“ Oh, wow. This cake is delish.”

“No, it’s not.”

F*ck.

Can’t you just go with the flow, dude? I’m about to die of suffocation in this heavy atmosphere, damn it!

“H-Have you tried it?”

“Yeah. And it’s horrible compared to the food I ate before.”

He said as he raised his eyes to meet mine but I avoided it. I unconsciously gulp. He’s still arrogant even in this damn mood.

I looked
