Mona took a small step back since Leo was too close to her, but she smiled and said, "I only came here to finalize the deal with the Cox group Mr. Cox. What do you think I came here for in the first place?”

"Liar! The Hunt family sent you here on purpose, right?" Leo said with anger. “Are they out of money again and want to use old techniques to get you to beg for more as usual?”

The Hunt family had already gone bankrupt these five years and had been trying so hard in this five years to get financial support with the Cox family, but Leo had never agreed.

How could Mona not know what Leo was thinking after hearing what he said. Her expression fell right away. "I don't have any ties to the Hunt family anymore.”

She turned back to get the documents from Williams

without caring. But all of a sudden, Leo’s muscular right hand grabbed her hand, and pulled her along the quiet hallway.

Mona was so scared that she slapped Leo’s right hand that grabbed hers, in an attempt to free herself from his grip. But Leo, who looked angry, firmly seized her hand in the middle of the smack.

As he stopped walking in the hallway, he grabbed her two hands  and raised it above her head, pinning it to the wall, his hot breath tickling her neck.

"The Cox mansion is not a place you can come and go as you please."

Mona was angry and only thought of how close they were, "Mr. Cox, we split five years ago. You better act right! Behave yourself.”

"Behaved myself?" Leo’s eyes sparkled with evil. "That's not what you said when you drugged me five years ago."

When Mona heard  this, her face got a little paler and her gorgeous eyes sparkled softly. Leo’s eyes lost focus for a second, and he accidentally tightened his grip. Even though he hated her, he still wanted to keep her under his control.

Mona suddenly grinned, full of charm, when she saw the change in his eyes. "Mr. Cox, you’re saying I came here because of the Hunt family to ask for support, yet you’re all over me.” Her voice was gentle, and it made his ears tingle.

Leo’s face changed, and he pulled away from her.

Mona said, the mocking in her eyes turned to scorn. "Five years now and you’re still the same cold psychopath, Mr. Cox.”

His penetrating eyes on her as he responded. "What do you want?"

Mona carefully touched her wrist, which was now crimson. A shade that only lasted a moment crossed her eyes, and she got more impatient with him. "If I were still the Mona of years back, maybe I'd be..." she pause her words and smiled.

Leo felt like he was losing control when she smiled confidently. This emotion, which he hated the most, was like hearing of his parents' accident many years before, the first time he had ever lost control of his life.

She smoothed her clothing and looked at him with her dark eyes. "This is the last time I'll explain. I didn't drug you to get married to you, my parents did, whether you believe me or not it’s up to you.”

With that, she flipped her hair and walked out of the hall. Leo’s fists were stiff as he looked at her thin back.

Nate who saw Leo dragged Mona to the hall rushed to the hall after seeing Mona come out.  When he saw Leo waiting in the dark hallway, he automatically swallowed hard. It wasn't the right time for him to show up.

Leo’s deep voice halted him before he could move. "Found out if it was Mona’s parents that really drugged me or it was her, eight years ago.”

    “Yes sir.” Nate nodded.

Leo didn't believe her back then when she said she wasn’t the one who drugged him, and that she was also drugged by her patents. And he still doesn't trust her now.

He stood there, clenching his teeth.

Williams sensed that something was wrong between Mona and Leo and rushed to the hall. But Mona was already coming out of the hall by this time.

He hesitated before asking Mona after she came out of the hall, "Ma’am are you okay? Dif you know Mr. Cox before?"

"I don't know him." Mona responded and moved away fast.

“What about the deal?” Williams asked as he hurried to catch up.

    “Another day. We should leave.”

As they made their way to go, Mona heard a weak voice from behind her.

    "Mona? Is that you?”

Mona turned and looked at the person who Just called her.

    It was grandpa Eric.

He had been in his room all this while and only just came out now.

She thought highly of grandpa Eric since he had always been nice to her. She smiled and said, "Master Cox,"

As soon as she said this, grandpa’s face darkened. "Silly girl, why are you being distant with me?"

She didn't want to offend grandpa, so she said in front of everyone, "Grandpa"

Grandpa Eric was happy. He smiled and held her hand. "Come on, tell Grandpa where you've been for the last five years."

Leo’s eyes slowly got darker as he came out from the hallway and saw grandpa being affectionate towards Mona in front of everyone. Even after this five years, he still love her as he used to like when she was still married to him.

Everyone called him master Cox and they knew only for someone to call him grandpa, it meant the person was closer to him. So if Mona called him grandpa and he behaved so affectionately, it meant they were closer.

The people were astonished. Master Cox distanced himself from other people except his son Leo, and butler. So when  had he ever been so loving?

“Wasn't Sydney married to Leo? So why was master Cox being affectionate to Mona instead of Sydney?” Someone murmured in the crowd.

Mona couldn't say anything. She had always knew her kids were smart, but she didn't think they would come up with a plan like this. She paused for a bit before calling Fred on video. After searching all day for the missing kids, he finally felt better when he saw their naughty faces. Benita wasn’t around, if not the kids wouldn’t have escaped easily.Luke and Rue felt bad when they saw their butler’s tired, worn-out countenance. Mona said in a serious voice, "Mr. Jenner and the workers at the villa have been looking for you all day because you snuck out. They have only just now been able to relax.”The kids looked down. “You may tell Mr. Jenner, and apologize to him,” Mona’s voice got more and more serious as she said, "Don't sneak back without saying anything and making everyone worry about you." Luke and Rue’s round eyes filled with tears, and they said sorry to Mr. Jenner in childlike voices. Mr. Jenner quickly calmed the kids down and then hung up. Conan rushed to calm the

Mona’s hands shook as she switched to a new phone and called Fred right away. "What do you mean by that? Luke and Rue are gone? Didn't you keep an eye on them all the time? How can they be gone? What do you mean by "missing"?” She asked Fred a lot of questions all at once, and he didn't know where to start. All he could do was groan. He could see that Miss Hunt was worried about the two kids, and now that they were gone, how could she not break down?Fred, who felt helpless, told the police what had happened to the kids. That day, they were due to attend piano lessons, but Rue suddenly announced she didn't feel well before the class started. The nanny quickly called the family doctor, but when she got back, the kids were gone. They had turned the whole mansion upside down, but they couldn't find any signs of them. The villa's staff members' names had been checked several times, and the villa's security had been raised to the maximum level. Nobody could get in without being seen. She

Sydney’s face went pale, and she rushed forward. "I..."She felt uneasy as Leo’s eyes seemed to see through everything. She avoided them and stammered for a long time. "The day she came back, and your eyes were always on her. I was confused and just..."Leo looked at the mark on Sydney’s arm and didn't say anything for a long time. Then he said, "This is the last time." Sydney quickly nodded, and her eyes blinked. Some things she didn't have to deal with; other people could do them for her. Leo called Nate and told him to take down the post about her that was trending today. "Are you just getting rid of the trending news?" Sydney was worried, "People are calling me a homewrecker online, and a lot of clients are demanding money from me choosing another actress instead,” Sydney said, "Do you want our unborn child to be called illegitimate?" When she saw that Leo still didn't say anything, but he looked at her earnestly. Sydney bit her lip hard since she knew there was no wa

Mona knew something was wrong right away when she went outdoors that night. People around her seemed to be pointing at her without her knowing, but once she looked their direction, they would move away and act like nothing had happened. She was ready to go to the store when Conan called and told her to stop. "Don't go out; someone has put your address online! Stay home; I'm on my way to grab you right now!” Conan’s voice was full of urgency, which made it evident that the issue was serious. Mona also seemed sad. It would be difficult for anyone on the internet to find her address in such a short amount of time, unless someone leaked it on purpose. It wasn't hard to figure out who it might be. She didn't want to fight fate, so she turned around and headed back. But then two men who looked sketchy stopped her. Their eyes moved over her body without shame. "You're the mistress, right? You do appear interesting.” "How about having some fun with us?" One of them made a lewd face. M

Mona’s heart almost broke when her tiny baby girl gazed at her, and she murmured softly, "One more month at most, then I'll come to see you, okay?" Rue’s eyes showed a tinge of disappointment, yet she still agreed like a child. Luke, who had been seated next to Rue, eventually spoke up after his sister and mother were done chatting. He said in a bossy voice, "Are you in trouble over there? Do you need me to step in and help?”Mona laughed, but she knew her young boy well enough to say, "Don't worry, I can handle the problems here. Okay, if something really hard comes up, I'll ask for your help.”Luke hummed in agreement. He was already a five-year-old little man who wanted to take care of his mother and sister. Mona didn't want to finish the video connection after having a nice discussion with her two kids. As soon as she hung up, Williams called and said, "Miss Hunt, Mr. Cox is out of the country on business. Harmony Pierce, the Cox Group's deputy general manager, will take over

Leo gazed at her for a second, then added, "The Gray family is not right for you. Get away from Conan Gray.”Leo pulled out his checkbook and started writing as he spoke? "How much money do you need? I'll give it to you.”He didn't think she could really care about Conan. For him, it was all about the money. Mona instantly laughed when she heard what Leo said. "Do you have twenty billion dollars?" Leo stopped writing and looked at her with a frown. Mona knew what he meant without saying anything: don't be ungrateful. She would have been worried about his look if it had been in the past, but now she wasn't. "Five years, and you haven't gotten any better, Mr. Cox. What more can you do besides tossing money around?” She stood up and hissed. The two faced each other across the coffee table in the peaceful villa, and for a minute, the mood grew strained. Leo glanced at Mona, who was pointing swords at him, and he felt a peculiar emotion rising in his heart, as if this version of her w
