CHAPTER 24

KATRINA

Before he could even catch sight of me, I quickly leaned back against the couch and turned to the side, angling my body away from him so he wouldn’t see my face.

My heart raced as I tried to make myself look as casual as possible.

“Is there something wrong?” Diego asked curiously.

“M-My boss is here… Please, don’t make it obvious…” I whispered urgently, barely moving my lips.

His brows furrowed slightly. “Where is he?”

I swallowed hard and whispered, “Can you see the man outside the café? The tall... muscular one wearing a brown shirt…”

Diego subtly turned his head to glance outside.

“Yeah, I can see him.”

At that, I squeezed my eyes shut tightly, a wave of panic washing over me. I could practically feel my pulse pounding in my ears.

If he sees me sitting here with another man, I’m dead.

This would turn into a huge scene, no doubt about it! Why on earth did he have to come looking for me here of all places?

“He’s looking around... in every direction,” Diego murm

CHAPTER 25KATRINAI turned to him, watching as he carefully removed the seal from the bottle of wine I’d bought earlier. The sharp pop of the cork broke the air.I raised an eyebrow. “And what exactly am I supposed to wear then? Pajamas?” I asked, my tone edged with sarcasm.Pierre looked up, meeting my gaze with that serious, commanding expression of his. “You’re really going to wear that in front of all those people?” he asked seriously.I frowned slightly. “Is that such a bad thing?” I replied. He set the cork aside, exhaling sharply before speaking again, “Don’t even think about going out if that’s what you plan to wear.”For a moment, I just stared at him. He wasn’t my father, yet he spoke like one. I crossed my arms, letting out a harsh sigh. “Fine,” I said. "In that case, I’ll just find somewhere else to go.”“Good, as long as it’s not at the pool,” Pierre replied calmly.I bit back a sigh. He was giving me orders again, like I couldn’t make a single decision without his appr

  • Marrying The Arrogant Billionaire    CHAPTER 23

CHAPTER 23KATRINA“Are you hurt, Miss?” he asked, a genuine concern flickering across his face.I blinked, trying to pull myself back to reality, but my mind refused to focus. All I could think about was how close he was.“Ah, no, I’m fine,” I said quickly, shaking my head.Honestly, I should be the one asking him that.I noticed that they looked at me again. "You’re really good at ice skating,” he said.I froze at his comment. “What?”“I’ve been trying to imitate you,” he explained with a small, sheepish smile. “But I think you’re already skilled at this. I keep losing my balance whenever I try to copy your moves.”My heart skipped a beat. He’s been watching me? I could feel my cheeks heating a little."Can you teach me, if you don’t mind? I want to learn how to balance like you do.”For a second, I couldn’t find my voice. Teach him? This ridiculously handsome man was asking me to teach him?Well...“S–Sure,” I finally managed to say, nodding a little too quickly. It would’ve be

  • Marrying The Arrogant Billionaire    CHAPTER 22

CHAPTER 22KATRINA“I’ll just go to Iceland!” I decided. That was the name of the ice-skating rink located on Deck 11.Before heading there, I read the description first. It said that guests were required to wear winter clothes because from the ceiling of that hall, bursts of cold air were constantly being released, just enough to make the place feel like a real winter wonderland. From the pictures, I could already tell how thick everyone’s outfits were. People were bundled up in layers. Heavy coats, wool scarves, gloves, and boots that almost reached their knees. It really did look like the middle of winter inside that skating rink.I didn’t bring any winter clothes with me, of course. But luckily, they offered everything for rent, including the shoes I’d need for skating. That was a relief.I had originally planned to go out later in the evening, but the thought of gliding over the ice was just too exciting to resist. I couldn’t wait any longer. So, I packed all my important things i

CHAPTER 21KATRINAThe moment I saw the amount at the very bottom, I nearly dropped the wine bottle.Good thing I caught it in time, clutching it to my chest as my hands trembled. “W-What the hell? Who spends this much on something you’re just going to pee out later?!”I could only shake my head.I stuffed the papers and the card into my pocket and hugged the bottle tighter, afraid it might slip from my grip. But I reminded myself, they could afford it. People like them had money to burn on ridiculously expensive wine.I started heading back to our deck, moving carefully. My steps slowed as I neared the slightly open sliding door, the soft sea breeze brushing against my face.I could see him clearly from where I stood. Lazaro was on the balcony, the soft glow of the sun outlining his tall frame. As I approached, Pierre’s sharp eyes caught sight of me almost instantly.“What is that?” he asked.“I bought that wine,” Lazaro replied casually.I walked over to the center table and gently p

CHAPTER 20Katrina Pierre’s tongue seemed to shrink back, and for a moment, he couldn’t say a word.“Are you really going to get mad just because of that?” I asked, the tension in his brows easing almost instantly.“Of course not,” he answered firmly. “Now hurry up. I still have a few things for you to do.”Before I could even open my mouth to respond, he had already walked away from where he stood. Was he seriously treating this like some kind of competition, seeing how many orders he could throw my way?But whatever. It wasn’t like the tasks were that difficult, and honestly, it wasn’t worth complaining about. As soon as I stepped out of the dining room, Pierre, right in front of all his friends, told me to organize the things in his suitcase and arrange them neatly inside the closet.I followed his instructions carefully, making sure no one would notice what we were doing.“Are you done?”While I was hanging Pierre’s shirts neatly on their hangers, a familiar voice broke the silenc
