Tyler’s POV

I sat behind the table at The Buns Cake, a fast food spot that sold cakes, pies, and burgers. The seating was all arranged outdoors, which gave the place a casual, open-air vibe.

I had arrived before Attorney Smart, and for now, I was the only person there aside from the waiters and the chef who was busy inside.

“What would you like to order, sir?” one of the waiters asked. She was a young lady dressed in a crisp white apron uniform and had a gentle smile on her face as she approached.

I knew fully well I couldn’t just sit here and talk with Attorney Smart without buying anything. That would be rude—and suspicious.

I smiled politely. “Can you wait a moment for me to order, please? I’m expecting someone.”

“Of course,” she said, bowing respectfully before walking away with a courteous smile.

Not long after that, Attorney Smart arrived. I saw him driving slowly into the parking area from a distance.

His SUV—a black Cadillac—was something I recognized like the back of my hand.

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 142 The Dinner

Adrian’s POVI stood at the tall mirror in the hotel room, adjusting the final fold of my cuff. I was completely dressed in a brand-new tuxedo and polished Italian leather shoes. Everything I wore had been selected specially for tonight.Normally, I wasn’t the kind of man who lingered in front of mirrors or obsessed over my reflection after dressing up. But tonight was different. I found myself standing still, eyes locked on my own image, scanning every detail twice.I had to look perfect. In fact, if there were a word more intense than “perfect,” I needed to become it. This wasn’t just another evening out—it was a night with Eunice Morgan. That name alone carried weight, but beyond her powerful title, she was the woman who had somehow managed to steal my heart when I wasn’t even paying attention. So, if I failed to present myself well tonight, wouldn’t that mean I had already failed at the very first thing I had control over?We had agreed to meet at 7 p.m., and by 6:30 p.m., I was a

Gabriel’s POV“Of course, babe. Anything for you.”The response came swiftly. In fact, I didn’t expect it to be this fast. Not from girls in this kind of game. It was odd.Back then, I wasn’t the man I am today. I was just another guy, still living under my father’s roof, stuck in a routine that barely hinted at luxury. One particular evening, my friends and I decided to hook up with some girls online. We sent messages, waited long stretches of silence, and only got replies after about fifteen minutes—if at all.But tonight felt different. The replies were almost instant. Too fast.I stared at my phone, eyebrows raised. Something wasn’t adding up. Was it the way I had texted? The tone I used? Or maybe, just maybe, it had to do with the location tag automatically attached to my profile. One look and they’d know I was chatting from Morgan Street. That had to be it.I quickly typed into a new tab on my browser: “Expensive neighbourhood in Eerielake.”Just as I suspected, Morgan Street wa

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 140 Gabriel and The Eerie Lake

Gabriel’s POVI walked into the majestic house, unsure of what to expect but immediately struck by the sheer grandeur that greeted me.The mansion stood tall at the very tip of the road, easily towering over every other building in the neighborhood. Its intimidating size and bold architecture made it impossible to ignore. Parked gracefully in the driveway was an SUV so large and polished, it looked like something out of a luxury magazine. I had seen a lot of cars, but this one was something else entirely. The moment I stepped inside, my breath caught. The interior of the building was beyond luxurious. The marble floors gleamed, the chandeliers sparkled like stars, and the walls carried textures and finishing that whispered nothing but wealth. I had never seen anything like it in my entire life. This was wealth redefined.“This is your new home, sir. I have made sure to keep it intact until your arrival,” Junior said, bowing slightly as he addressed me.His words hit me like a gentle s

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 139 Frantic Words

Adrian’s POVThe silence between us was so loud, it wrapped around the room, pressing down on both of us until it was almost unbearable. I could feel the tension in the air, the weight of everything unsaid settling between us like an invisible wall. It was beginning to feel awkward, especially now, when I knew I had said what was on my mind. But even with all the talking, I hadn’t told her the most important part yet.I hadn’t explained how I was going to help her secure her database permanently. My thoughts were scattered. Part of me wanted to rise from the seat and step outside, hoping that by the time I reached the hallway, I could order Divine to return and continue the conversation. Maybe, just maybe, with me out of the way, Divine could salvage what was left of this deal. I had let my emotions interfere, and now I feared I had ruined everything.Just as I was about to stand, her voice broke the silence.“Perhaps a dinner later this evening then?” she asked, her tone calm but sur

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 138 Withdrawal

Adrian’s POVMy phone buzzed immediately as I clicked the withdrawal button. In that moment, my eyes drifted to Eunice. Her reaction was instant; her eyes widened in disbelief, almost like she had seen a ghost. But she wasn’t the only one.CEO Anderson’s face mirrored the same look of panic. He didn’t even blink. The color drained from his cheeks as he stared blankly at the screen in front of him. Just like Eunice, he looked shocked. Frozen. But neither of them had said anything yet.I slid my hand into my pocket, pulled out my phone, and placed it deliberately on the table.“I just made a withdrawal from your company to one of my personal bank accounts,” I said, my voice steady. “Right now, we’re going to verify if this is real.”I pushed the phone toward CEO Anderson, not too aggressively, but with firm intent. Tossing it to Eunice first would’ve seemed disrespectful. Her status demanded a certain level of courtesy, and I wasn't about to risk undermining her in her own office.Anders

  • Marrying The Billionaire Who Healed Me   Chapter 137 The Explanation

Eunice’s POVWe spent hours in the room, talking seriously about the claimed compromise on our official websites. And truth be told—I believed him.Maybe it was because I had met him once before, right there in Portugal. Back then, my heart had reacted to him in a way I didn’t quite understand. Or maybe it was because I’d heard rumors about Neurolink Global Technologies—how they were fast, efficient, and unusually precise with their digital operations. But I’ve never been the type to take action based solely on rumors. I prefer to make informed decisions, to conduct my own investigations first.A year ago, I heard that the same company currently managing our website’s security had once handled another organization’s systems—a university, in fact. Students paid their school fees through the university’s online platform, and one day, the entire fund mysteriously vanished. The site had been breached. The incident had left the school reeling. They were unable to recover for three semesters
