Charlotte’s POV

I curled my toes under and stood up, shaking my knees in terror. Immediately after that, I scooped up all of my clothes and left the man sitting on the sofa with a look of surprise. He was at a loss for words and could not communicate with me in any way.

I got dressed and then marched out the door without looking where I was going, even though the center part of my body hurt very badly.

Then I saw him following me in the dark. He was chasing me. “Miss….wait…”
