"What's going on here?"

I saw Noah approaching there, he had an annoyed look on his face. The maids immediately apologized and left. I forced a smile on my face and walked to him.

"Are you free now?"

"Yes, Scarlett is now resting. She is injured badly...," He was again with the pitiful looks and showing concern about Scarlett.

"Oh , I have sent the search team to the north . Yesterday vampires attacked the Red moon pack and if I am guessing right Scarlett must be from the Red moon pack," I explained.

But Noah wasn't pleased. He instead twisted his head sideways and with an unsatisfied tone replied," Scarlett has lost her family, friends and pack. Let her stay here in my Shadowed pack."

I was stunned , silence by his remark.

'How can he say that? What if she's an assassin sent by a vampire lord?' I decided to keep this to myself until Victor returns back with proof. And pretended to go along with what Noah had said.

"I will get going Martina."

I stepped close to Noah and held his arm. " Where are you going now?" I asked, pulling him close to me. Hoping for him to understand how badly I missed him last night. My wolf was yearning for his touch and fury pleasure.

"It's dinner time. I'll have to feed Scarlett."

He heartlessly crushed down my hope and slapped those words on my face. I moved away from him aggressively and headed to my room.

Slamming the door closed , I bursted into tears. ' How can he ignore my call ? Why is someone unknown important to him now? She's just an outsider... Why then ?'

I wanted to scream out but suppressed in fear of my reputation . I have to endure this as long as the truth is not revealed.

However, what I feared the most happened. The very next day all of the pack members were ordered to gather in royal court.

'I don't know what is going on with Noah. He's strangely different nowadays,' I thought. Walking inside the court my eyes couldn't believe the exotic view.

Scarlett was sitting next to Noah, the seat where I used to sit. I clenched my fist in anger and was about to question this disrespect for Luna when suddenly Noah spoke.

"From now onwards Scarlett will be staying here in my Shadowed pack. She's my fated mate."

Everyone looked at each other in bewilderment . The elders of Shadowed pack and Crescent pack gave me shocked glances indirectly asking what's happening all of sudden?

How could I even know? I am confused too.

Noah continued," She will be my Luna from now and empress of the Bliaviroth empire."

"What?" I reacted, completely taken aback by his announcement. For a moment I thought I'm dreaming but then I realised everyone was bowing to Alpha's order.

My eyes filled with tears looked at Noah who was giving me an emotionless glance. He didn't even flinch.

'What are you doing Noah?' I asked him through the mindlink.

'Who are you to question my wish? I'm the Alpha, I can decide who will be my mate ,' he ruthlessly replied, breaking my heart .

I stood there like frozen ice. I was definitely hurt by him but he's Alpha. I can't disobey his command and rebel.

'What if he's trapped in some witchcraft?' I thought as I looked at the petite Scarlett. Her small figure and that innocent face definitely was hiding the darkest secrets which I'll uncover soon .

"What are you doing standing there?" Noah shouted angrily, jolting me to reality. " Kneel down and show respect to the emperor and empress."

I lowered my face and kneeled down in respect. ' This is temporary Martina. You're still Martina Ragnar and she's only Scarlett. Noah only loves me ,' I consoled myself.

I allowed Scarlett to introduce herself in my pack and I stepped down from my role as Luna.

Days passed by and Noah didn't even bother to visit me even once. I thought he was just busy but when heard from the maids, Noah was spending most of his time with Scarlett.

Knock Knock

"Who's outside?"

"My lady, your tea," my maid replied and entered inside with a tray. I sighed and took the tea cup from the tray. After giving it a thought I can no longer stay in this condition. Noah should give me a proper explanation about his so-called fated mate Scarlett.

'If he was about to leave me in the end then what about our seven years of relationship,' I murmured while taking a sip of tea.

"It's relaxing my tense nerves ." I finished drinking my tea and felt a burning sensation erupting in my throat. I coughed a mouthful of blood soaking my clothes.

"W-What is happening with me?"

I tried to call for help but my feet strangled up and I fell down on the ground. My hands and feet started getting numb. The burning sensation continued to take over my stomach. I could no longer breathe, it was suffocating.

"S-Somebody... Help me ... Noah..."

I pleaded for help but my voice couldn't reach out of that room. Just as I was about to close my eyes in helplessness a very sinister laugh reverberated into my ears.

I could see the blurry figure walking inside my room. The same golden blonde hair and eyes, how could I forget.

"S-Scarlett..."

I crawled towards her , my hands trembling covered in blood.

"Your brother, friends and pack will be next." Scarlett whispered, waving menacingly at me.

"N-No..."

I cried but in vain. My strength was slowly dissolving in pain and suffering caused by Wolf's Bane. I breathed my last when my heart stopped beating.
