Rivalry?

Alex was in the kitchen making dinner when she heard the door open, and Max walked in. Looking at him over her shoulder, she said. “Hey, Max. How are you today?”

Max walked to her with a mischievous smirk on his face, and that got Alex frowning mentally. His hair was messy and wet, and that made her realize that he had just gotten out of the shower.

He came to stand behind her and peeked at what she was cooking over her shoulder. “That smell fantastic.” He said and she smiled.

If she wasn’t so charmed and taken or blown away by someone else, she would have developed a high crush on Max. He was a charming person and he knew how to make a woman blush. He was young and handsome, but the only problem was that he couldn’t hold a candle to how gorgeous Gabe was.

Grunting because she had thought about Gabe again when she promised herself not to, she stirred what she was cooking. It wasn’t surprising to her though, seeing as she had always said that but flatter before she could even hold
