Sharlynn looked at herself in the mirror with satisfaction, her hair was in perfect waves, she wore a pink top, crazy Jean, and white sneakers - yet another gift from Ricky-Shawn. As she touched the silver chain on her neck - which also was a gift from Ricky-Shawn, her mind flashed back to the silver-haired boy who she believed was a vampire but she had to shake the feeling of fear that engulfed her.

She would've told her mother about it but her mom would just become upset. She would have to protect herself - but there was no guarantee that she would be able to protect herself, she knew nothing! Though she did a lot of research on what repels vampires and saw that a certain sweet-smelling herb called Raisis can repel vampires.

She had crushed the petals of the flower a long time ago and found a genius way to make it a perfume but she never used it, not until today. She opened her drawer and found the light purple liquid in the bottle she now converted to her perfume bottle and sprayed it on her clothes. With that, she sighed and did her best to put on a believably happy countenance as she left her room.

Her little brothers were already getting their mom all worked up over them that morning so she ran downstairs to handle the situation. For some reason unknown to her, they only listened to her.

" Morning Dad," she said as she kissed him on his cheek while he was lying on the couch and headed to the dining room. " Elroy, Jamie, Freddy!" She yelled and the three of them froze, " Drop it!" She commanded and they all dropped the bread that they were about to throw at each other and exchanged mischievous smiles.

" Thank God you're here!" her mom said, the small, plump woman wiped the sweat off her forehead as she sighed.

" Sorry Mommy," Jamie said with a giggle and his brothers joined in the giggling. They all looked very much like their father, with brown hair and green eyes which made them look so mischievous despite their adorable looks.

" Sharlie when are we going to school, I have a lot of friends waiting for me," Elroy said with a mouthful of sandwiches.

" Why don't you finish up your sandwiches first and then we'll go meet your friends at school," she said with a smile.

" Okay," they all said enthusiastically.

" How do you do it?" Her mom asked.

" No idea, they just kinda listen to me I guess"

" Lucky me. I'll see you later then, I gotta put their room in order, these boys are destructive" her mom said and Sharlynn laughed.

" Time to go to school," Sharlynn said when they all finished their food.

After dropping off her brothers Sharlynn headed straight for her school. Students were already in school, chatting and sharing the latest gossip with their friends.

Sharlynn wasn't very lucky in that department, she didn't have any friends instead she was the subject of gossip.

Everybody was taken aback by how she stole Ricky-Shawn's heart early this year and how he didn't seem to have time for any other girl except her.

" Nice top Carter!" Kenny, captain of the basketball team said as she walked past him and his clique. She just sighed and kept on walking, " Awww, come on. Ricky-Shawn's not here, you don't have to be scared." Another guy said as he wrapped his finger in her curly hair.

His name was Pete, he and Ricky Shawn were known to be sworn enemies and him hitting on Sharlynn when Ricky wasn't around was not new to anyone at the school. Pete saw Sharlynn as Ricky-Shawn's weakness and never missed an opportunity to piss him off.

He was every bit as handsome and sexy as Ricky-Shawn and used to be the star player of the football team until Ricky-Shawn showed up, swiftly becoming the quarterback while Pete became fullback. Something he's yet to forgive Ricky for.

" Stop Pete, I don't like you touching my hair," Sharlynn said as she pushed his hands away. That didn't stop him, he brushed his hands through his hair and his eyes tingled with excitement as he pinned her to the wall.

The hall suddenly went silent and everyone knew why - Ricky-Shawn was there. Despite his obvious anger, he took slow strides towards Pete and his blue eyes seethed with rage as he came closer, Pete knew he was watching him so he stopped his folly.

" What's up dream stealer?" He taunted but Ricky-Shawn just stood in front of him, towering over him. His eyes moved to Sharlynn as she arranged her hair and glared at Pete.

He really wanted to beat the crap out of Pete but it was a new session and he didn't want to upset Sharlynn.

" Come on Lynn, let's go," he said and Pete folded his arms a smirk slowly forming on his face as he said, " Oh come on don't -"Pete started to say but Ricky-Shawn swiftly turned and punched him in the face.

Just that one blow sent him falling like a heavy sack and everyone exclaimed, " oh!". Sure enough, people had recorded the whole thing and as Pete struggled to stand up, Ricky-Shawn pulled Sharlynn to him and kissed her there and then to further provoke Pete.

Sharlynn didn't like Ricky-Shawn showing her off or kissing her in public but it's been like forever since he kissed her because of his trip to Paris, so she couldn't help but hold on to his arms which were wrapped around her waist as they kissed while some students cheered.

" Awww, how adorable," Dean said and they broke the kiss, Ricky-Shawn was breathing heavily as he stared at Sharlynn.

" Uhh, hello?" Dean persisted and Ricky-Shawn rolled his eyes and paid Dean the attention he was dying to have.

" Great! Now you see me, what's up." Dean said, clearly holding back the resentment he holds towards Ricky-Shawn.

" Don't know how many times I'll have to tell you this but, you're not Sharlynn's type. Right babe?" Ricky said but Sharlynn's attention was stolen by the boy who just walked through the hallway.

He was tall, had brown hair, obsidian eyes which somehow seemed to hold a lot of secrets, he wasn't as big as the two guys currently arguing over her, but he certainly wasn't small either.

When he walked past her, Sharlynn felt an intense build-up of desire in every part of her body and instantly felt mortified by her lustfulness but she couldn't help him. She looked at him but he didn't look back, and that for some reason left a big pang of pain in her heart.

She wondered why she felt so much for a guy she had just seen and with a sigh she looked at Dean but found both Ricky-Shawn and Dean staring at the guy who had just walk past them. Everyone seemed to be doing the same thing.

" Why the hell does that guy look so much like a hotter version of Darren Toody" Kayla, an elegant and commanding frenemy of Sharlynn's and also Ricky-Shawn's ex-girlfriend said as she walked slowly up to them.

Her eyes were tingling with excitement as she watched the boy walk into one of the classes. She was always the promiscuous type and Sharlynn knew this boy was in for a shocker with her.

" That's because he IS Darren Toody," Dean said to Kayla, trying his best not to growl and Sharlynn turned to look at him, wondering why he seemed jealous that Kayla was checking out the new guy.

" What?" She said when she saw Kayla staring at her and Kayla chuckled.

" Oh Shawnie, your girlfriend was totally checking the guy out," Kayla said and Ricky-Shawn and Dean's eyes widened in shock.

" Sharlynn!!" Ricky-Shawn exclaimed and Sharlynn suddenly turned around and headed for class. She wasn't ready for Ricky-Shawn's childish tantrums.
