Sharlynn felt so cold and wondered if his presence was responsible for it. When the boy said, " hello beautiful" Sharlynn fought the urge to scream. " Maybe he's just a lookalike, maybe he isn't a vampire" - those strings of maybes made her calm down but another thought came to her mind, " what if he is the vampire who killed Aliyah and has been searching for you for two years since then and has finally come to kill you once and for all!". This time she gulped and he raised a brow at her because she wasn't responding, she cleared her throat and said, " Umm... hi".

" Please could you give me a ride?" He asked with a smile, as Sharlynn got a better look at him, she noticed that he was so pale

" It's n-not my t-truck," she said, shivering due to the inexplicable cold she felt. Her whole body tensed as she looked into his silver eyes and something within her made her want to come out of the truck by all means. She was already on the verge of looking for a way out of Dean's truck when she heard his voice.

" Step away from the truck!" Dean said and Sharlynn snapped out of whatever hypnotic effect the boy's eyes had on her and watched as the boy stepped away and headed towards Dean.

It was so quiet that every step he took towards Dean sounded loud to her ears. As she watched the boy fold his arms in front of Dean, something occurred to her - the cold she felt when he was around her had reduced. She couldn't possibly understand it.

She heaved a sigh of relief when she could feel her temperature regulating and watched as the boys just stood there, looking at each other. It was almost as if they were talking with their eyes because after some time, Dean tapped the boy on his shoulder and the boy seemed to grind his teeth in annoyance before he managed to fake a smile and walked away.

" Are you okay?" Dean asked as he got in his truck and turned on the ignition, Sharlynn nodded.

" D-did you find anything?" She asked, searching his face for signs that whatever he had to say wouldn't be too scary for her to handle.

" Yeah, just some weird dude trying to steal a lady's purse. I dealt with it though, don't worry" Dean said with a reassuring smile.

" What about the other two?" Sharlynn said as he turned on the heater for her sake while she muttered " thanks" to him.

" What other two?" He asked, looking at her. " I heard more screams and would've become the next screamer if you didn't show up," she said, her eyes animated with fear as she looked out the window.

" Why? Was that guy trying to do something funny to you?" Dean asked as he drove, his eyes instantly turned murderous as he asked the question.

" Umm, I don't know. He asked for a ride and it was weird, I didn't trust him but I suddenly felt like coming out of the truck - especially when I looked into his silver eyes - and then it was really cold when he was close to me but when he left it wasn't cold anymore!" She said and Dean's eyes widened with what she assumed to be surprise before he threw his head back and burst into fits of laughter.

" You know what? never mind. I'm probably so tired that I was seeing weird stuff" she said, smiling sheepishly at Dean. Maybe she just imagined the whole vampire killing Aliyah thing - she thought. Still, she knew the truth, that boy a few moments ago knew her and he was mind-controlling her in a way that made her want to come out of the truck by all means!

"Yeah, That's it ," Dean said laughing lightly this time and she wondered why the silver-haired boy didn't kill Dean since he pretty much could do so. "Maybe he only feeds on women," she thought and was thankful that Dean was okay.

" Whatever" she scoffed in response to Dean's subtle mockery of her observations.

When he reached Sharlynn's small but beautiful house and parked in front, Sharlynn thanked him quickly before she got down from his car.

He waited till the lights in her room were off before he zoomed off. Dean knew the identity of the silver-haired boy who approached Sharlynn. He was a member of a family of ruthless vampires called the Saunders, who lived in Hollow Hills two years before Sharlynn and her family moved there.

He couldn't fathom how the boy came back since his father made certain that the Saunders and vampires they've sired do not return to Hollow Hills. All that he knew is that he needed to find that vampire so he drove a little faster but almost hit the brakes when he saw someone standing in the middle of the road. But then again, he knew that body figure anywhere, it was him - the silver-haired one who tried to mind control Sharlynn. His name was Tom Saunders.

" You're dead Tom Saunders" he spat before he accelerated and hit the boy, sending him flying a few feet backward. The boy landed on his palms and feet like nothing hit him and he glared at Dean as he got down from his truck, ready for a showdown.

" What the hell are you doing here Tom?" Dean barked and Tom suddenly smiled and said, " Oh come on Wolf, don't you miss me? And congrats I heard you will be facing death by the hands of your brother for the title of alpha this month." Tom added with a devilish smirk.

" It's dumb that you came back here, you know that everyone in Hollow hills thinks you and your family died in a fire accident right?" Dean said, clearly losing his temper.

" Oh, we've taken care of that little problem. Told the sheriff that we weren't in the house while it burned" Tom said, suddenly standing behind Dean and he scoffed.

" You mean you compelled the sheriff and probably everyone in Hollow hills to forget about your deaths" he countered and Tom quickly sped to a distance farther than where he stood behind Dean and flashed him a smile that left Dean extremely irritated.

Dean was a wolf, a secret he kept hidden from Sharlynn. His nature and instinct as a wolf was to kill the vampire standing right in front of him but as possible alpha, he isn't allowed to turn until the day he brawls with his older brother for the alpha title.

" You know what? Just leave! Vampires aren't welcome here" Dean said, folding his arms.

" Shit! it's too late...you should've said so from the beginning. My entire family is already here and you of all people know that we can't leave without grabbing a bite." Tom said with a wicked grin as his fangs became visible before he whooshed into the woods, with Dean following him in hot pursuit as he heard yet another shrill scream.

"If the Saunders are back then that's a big problem"  Dean thought as he pursued Tom.
