Chapter 2

ALLISON'S P.O.V.

He stood up from where he was seated, and my eye slowly followed his, which made me realize how huge he was, but he was angry, it's almost as if he didn't recognize us as his mate

“Who the hell are you?!” He growled, sending shivers down my spine and I felt the familiar sting of tears while my back pressed against, and I knew I was as good as doomed.

A knock on the door caught our attention, and it opened slightly revealing Beta Francis and a part of me felt relieved that he was here, but I doubted if he was going to save me from Orion.

“What the hell are you doing here?” He growled at me before giving Orion an apology look, “… Alpha, this is Allison. The new slave we picked from Blue shadow pack” Orion looked at me again, and I immediately took my eyes away. 

“Get out of here, Francis” I held on to Francis's shirt as I tried to walk out of the room, begging him not to go, but he gave me a look before yanking his shirt out of NY hand and walking out of the room

My body trembled the closer he got, and he grabbed my face, taking a good look at it before letting me go and walking back to his bed, but I couldn't.move an inch as I was so scared that it felt as though I was held under so much pressure. which he wasn't doing anything at all. 

“Here the deal, Allison. You'll be my mistress, not a slave, but if you go against my orders I'll make sure you get to stab yourself, and I'll send your body to the dungeon to rot, do you understand?” 

“Y… Yes” I cleared my throat while playing with my fingers to look away from his eyes.

“You are meant to conceive a child and give birth to my heir, but if you give birth to a girl, you'll continue to bare children to give birth to a boy, or you die while doing that. If you give birth to a boy, you will be set free, understand?”

“What if…”

“You have no opinion, Allison. Do what I ask you to do, ask no questions and reply with 'Yes sir' is that understood?”. His voice sent shivers down my spine.

“Yes sir”

“Get out of my sight. Francis will lead you to your room” I immediately stepped out to be able to breathe well, the atmosphere in there was thicker than fogs but what he didn't recognize the mate at all.

How could he not recognize it? 

My heart felt like it was going to rip apart. I had waited so long to find a mate and now he doesn't even know that, perhaps it will take a lot of time for him to find out, but a part of me which he will find out sooner than later.

Perhaps sleeping with him will awaken the mate bond in him, he did want a son after all, and he looked as if he wanted to get rid of me as soon as he could, I do hope this works

“What the hell are you doing?” I screamed at the top of my voice as Beta Francis sneaked up on me and I tried to control my breath

“Don't scare me like that, please” I spoke gently, not wanting any trouble with him as well and he suddenly smiled

“You and I will be good friends”

“Friends?” I looked at him in disbelief and the realization hit me. 

I've never truly had a friend

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I felt the whip against my back, and tears poured out of my eyes and blood oz out of my back. It's been weeks since I've been here and it was horrible.

Nothing worked as I planned, he never recognized the mate bond, no matter what I did, he still looked at me in disgust and hit when he wanted, yet the mate bond pulled me closer to him and I couldn't help but like who he was 

“Get the hell out of here!” He yelled at me and shivers ran down my spine but this time I had enough, I couldn't bare the burning pain I felt every day before going to bed. 

“Enough!” I snapped as I cried, “... Just enough already, Orion. Ever since I came here, when I first saw you I found out that we were mates, but you never recognized the…" A slap across my face caused me to trail off, and I looked at him.

“Mates? How dare you lie to me? Even if I were your mate, I would have found out and I would have rejected you. Curse the day you and I will ever become mates” He spit on my face and I felt my heart break into pieces while my wolf whimpered within me”... Guards!!” The doors immediately opened, “... Get her locked up immediately!” They pulled me out of the room as I tried to struggle, but it was off no use, he despises me. 

I was nothing but a woman who will give him a child. Tears rolled down my eyes as I was locked up in a cell and I curled myself in a ball rocking back and forth on my own. 

Hours passed by, and it was nothing but pure silence until the door suddenly open, and I could easily tell that it was Francis, but why was he awake so late at night? 

“What are you doing here?” I asked looked away from him while he opened the door and stepped with some food.

“You haven't eaten anything and…" He trailed off, and I realized he had seen the blood on my shirt, “... What did he do to you?" He immediately kept the food in front of me and tried to check the wound, but I moved away. 

“You need not worry about it, I'm healing and fine.” He let out a sigh. 

“He isn't as bad as you presume him to be”

“Don't give me that…"

“His mother left them for another man when he was a kid, his father on the other hated him so much and brought him up harshly. Orion believed his parents hated him so much and everyone else will hate him, but he never healed from the pain his parents cost him and what made it worst was that his mate rejected him and got married to the Alpha of a rival pack” I gasped at the thought of that, and I realized why he had that look on his face the moment I mentioned mate to him.

“I didn't know”

“He believes women are meant to be tortured, and a witch cursed him to never be able to feel his heart no matter what”

That's why he never recognized the mate bond. My heart felt heavy knowing about this, but my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door and his scent filled the room and I swore my heart skipped a beat the moment I met those eyes.
