THE PAST.

OSCAR'S POV.

With her hand in mine we make our way next door to the chapel, we pay a twenty dollar fee for the license and another twenty dollars for a witness since we don't have one.

Thankfully this isn't one of those elvis chapels and there's a priest here. Reagan and I walk hand in hand down the aisle.

“Do you have rings?” The priest asks us.

“Yes.” I tell him and Reagan looks confused.

“I didn't get any for you, I forgot.” She says and she looks like she's about to cry.

“It's ok baby, I always have this with me, it's my mums.” I tell her and now the tears well up in her eyes.

“No, it's not alright, we are getting married and you're about to give me your mums ring and I don't have a ring for you. Can I use this?” She asks the priest as she points to the chain around her neck, she never takes it off.

“Yes you can my child.” The priest tells her and she smiles.
