ALLISON'S P.O.V.
I looked at the photo in shock. If Orion finds out that she's actually my step-mother, I was as good as dead. I put everything back in place and pushed the box underneath the bed. It was difficult to accept, but my entire life was actually on the line. He must not find out about… A sharp pain in the corner of my abdomen struck me like a blade and my eyes became blurry with tears. “What the hell is going on?” I whispered to myself, but I felt relieved of the pain, perhaps it was just… The pain hit me again, this time harder, and I found it hard to breathe The pain increased and tears rolled down my eyes slowly, I couldn't help it. It felt as though something or rather someone was stabbing me with a needle continuous. “Arghh!” I screamed at the top of my voice as another wave of pain hit me like a wrong. I needed to get out of here. I pulled myself on my feet while trying so hard to work as the pain didn't reduce. My heartfelt heavy, and my wolf whimpered so loud that it caused my body to hurt. What the hell was going on? I heard the door open and I looked up to see Francis and just then I lost balance as the pain continued, which made me sob out loudly, I couldn't bare the pain anymore “Allison!” I heard my name so close yet so far. Everything became double, I could barely control my sight as I slowly lost breath. It felt as though I was on a thread of life and death, I felt myself being carried up, and I blinked severally to see Francis panicking. “Allison! Allison, can you hear me?” “I… It's hurts… So much” those were the only words that came out of my mouth, I couldn't speak any longer and slowly my sight became blurry, and I was greeted with darkness as I passed out in his arms. ****** My eyes flew open as I gasped and met eyes with a white ceiling, which made me furrow my eyebrows confused. A beeping sound pierce through my ears and I felt the need to knock that machine down, then I realized I was in a hospital. “Can't we at least do something to…" Francis trailed off as he walked into the room with a doctor, and he met eyes with me, “... You're awake!” He rushed to me as he began to check if I was alright. “Stop it, I'm fine. What happened?” I asked, and could see the worrisome look on his face which made me confused, “... Francis tell me, what happened” He let out a sigh and looked at the doctor who immediately walked out of the room. “I'm sorry, Allison. The reason you hard those pain is because of Orion” “Alpha? How is that even possible, he wasn't even…" I trailed off as realization hit me and I looked at me, “... No, it can't be. I know he hates me but not this much, please tell me it isn't true” “Orion slept with another woman, Allison. How long have you been hiding the fact that you both have been mates?” He looked at me dead in the eyes as my heart broke into pieces knowing he was sleeping with someone else. Which only meant I was nothing to him after all. Just the woman who will give me a son, I had a hope that he might change his mind, but I was just a mistress he hated and nothing else. “I've known since I came here, the first time I saw him, I knew it. I thought perhaps if we had sex he will recognize it and all, but he never did, then you told me about the curse and I realized I might have a little hope in breaking the curse on him and making him feel the mate bond, making him see me, but now everything is gone, he hates me after all” “That's not the end of things, Allison, you could still confront him and…" “I already did, and I ended up in a cell. Accept it Francis I can not bring him back or break the curse, I am bound to him, bound by pain that I had no right to show” Tears rolled down my eyes as my breath shortened a bit, I could help but feel it. The hope that is slipping away from me like a jet, my heart hurting, how did I even fall in love with a man that all he did was hurt me? “You still have your freedom, Allison. You're pregnant” I looked at him as shock drive its way through my body, and he smiled a bit. “I'm what?” “You're pregnant, Allison. We aren't sure if it's a girl or boy, but we do hope it's your freedom…" “I have no freedom. It's just a child who will set me free of his clutches and not of the world's. One step into the woods and we both know I am as good as dead, and I can't go back to my pack because that isn't my home, it's simply a place I grew up in” “Allison…" “Francis, promise me that you won't tell Alpha anything about this. I'll tell him when the time is right, but please keep shut " I looked at him with home, and he let out a sigh. “Ok, I won't tell. I promise” “Can we go back to the house?” “Sure” I stood up from the bed, and he helped me walk out of the hospital before driving me to the house We stepped in, and I could tell he wasn't home yet, which made me confused, but his aura suddenly creeped up upon me and I turned around and saw him standing with a woman by his side. “Francis!” He called out and shivers rushed down my spine. “Alpha, I…" “I'm getting married in two days, get everything ready” My heart scattered like a hammer hit against a piece of glassALPHA ORION. I see the red flare soar through the sky and I think it's too early, they surely haven't had enough time to search everywhere that they need to find Leslie, which means that something is wrong. “Men!” I shout and they all stand at attention. “Edward thought it was best to declare war on us by taking my daughter, well tonight we show him how wrong he was and tonight we put an end to the rogues once and for all.” “Kill the rogues, kill the rogues!!” They chant loudly. We run straight to the pack and it's clears from the look of the guards faces at the gate taht they weren't expecting us, we make quick work of them but when we get through, there's nobody outside. What the hell is going on? Francis walks towards us without a baby in his arms and a dejected look on his face. “Where is she?” I ask him, the moment he's close enough. “She's not here Orion, neither is Edward.” He tells me. “That's not possible, they are somewhere in
BETA FRANCIS. The walk to our stop point was long and hard because as wolves we aren't used to walking, I mean we have this speed, I don't understand why we couldn't run half of the way and walk the rest, but I wasn't about to bring that up to Orion, he was in one of his moods, you know the kind of mood where if you set him off, you were bound to lose a limb or a head. So I kept my opinions to myself, we finally made it to our stop and the sun was about to set so the men, were busy unloading weapons and making camp while me and the three men that were going to go with me into Edwards camp to get Leslie were getting ready. I was going with Tairn, Fox and Kalan, they were skilled fighters and my Uncle Cole trained them just like how he trained me so I know that they are the best for this mission. When we've strapped up, we make our way over to Orion, the sun has set and everywhere is dark. “We're ready to move.” I tell him. “Good, you guys know the plan,
BETA ERIC. “Look, buddy, I don't know who the hell you are, but you need to get the hell out of here now.” He growled at me and he brought out his claws. “I would hate to do this the hard way, so I'm just going to ask you one more time, where is Allison Reyner?” I asked him and again I saw the recognition in his eyes, that's how I knew I was talking to the right person. Instead of answering me, he chose to attack Instead, but I saw him coming, I never understood why some people felt the need to shout before they attacked. I dodged his punch and from the smell of him, he's clearly intoxicated. He stumbles and almost falls to the ground but he catches himself at the last minute and he turns around and growls at me, like it's my fault, I didn't even touch him. He continued coming at me, and I just kept dodging all his punches, but instead of tiring him out like I hoped would happen, it just seemed to make him even more mad. I knew I had to end this now,
CHAPTER 94.BETA ERIC. I get home and I quickly pack, my dad is nosy and I need to get on that plane before he finds out that I changed my flight to Boston. I grab Reagan's urn and I make sure that it's sealed tight and I put it in a box and I'm ready to go. I get to the airport and I board my flight, I put my bag in the overhead compartment but I keep the box with the urn in it with me. Since I'm in first class, I have enough space to keep it with me. Before the flight takes off, I check my phone to see if I have any missed calls from Mark, but I don't get anything. Seeing it has been a while since he and I talked, about four months now but he always sent the pictures so I didn't see it as anything, but now I'm starting to worry. The hostess announces that we should turn off our phones and put on our seat belts so I put my phone on flight mode, put on my seat belt and wait for the plane to take off. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ By the time I arrive in Bosto
BETA ERIC. There's a knock on my office door. “Come in.” I say and my assistant comes in. “Beta Eric, your father has requested to see you, he says that it's urgent.” He tells me. “I'll be right there Liam.” I tell him and then he turns around and leaves the office. My father gave away his title of Alpha yo my older brother Lachlan about a year ago, you would think that he would use this time to rest and probably go on vacation with my mum but no, he's still on top of everything, especially here at the office. I wonder what he wants now? What is so urgent? I take my phone with me and I leave my office and make my way over to his office at the end of the hall, he's expecting me so I don't bother knocking, I just open the door and step in. “Eric, good, you're here, please sit down.” He tells me and I see that my brother and my mother are already here, this must be serious then. “What's happening?” I asked my father as I took my seat. “Alp
THE PAST. ORION'S POV. One night I was out in the town with some of my men from the pack, we had just won kind of a civil war, a neighbouring pack claimed that we were encroaching on their lands. I took my uncles advice and I brought them to the table first so we could talk and find out where exactly the misinformation was coming from, but the Alpha was a stubborn old goat, so I dealt with him the way I knew how. Me and just six of my men took down more than half of his soldiers that he had no other choice than to back down. So that night, my men and I went out to celebrate and you know how those celebrations go, some alcohol and some women that are willing, we never force ourselves on anyone, we aren't animals. So we got to the bar and we were drinking and telling tales, you know the way warriors celebrate and then a girl at the end of the bar caught my eyes. She had brown hair that she had plaited into two braids and she had on a short white flowery dres
