She woke up feeling pains all over her face.

She slowly sat up and tried lifting her hands but the pain was unbearable. She took a look around.

She was in their room. The servants quarters. Not even a clinic or anything.

"Thank goodness you're awake. Sir Eric demands your presence. You're already three hours late so please hurry up. I don't want him......"

"Can you just shut up, Maya? She just woke up and all you can think is Eric. If you're so bent on pleasing him, why don't you go ahead and marry him?" Freya snapped.

"He's going to punish her anyway" She huffed and sat on her bed. Another servant came to sit beside Val.

"How're you feeling?" She asked.

"My face hurts. A lot".

"It'd hurt more if you don't meet Eric now" Maya stated.

Valentine slowly climbed off the bed. She'd already had enough for the day. She didn't want Eric's trouble as well.

"You can't go like this. I can go tell him you're sick" Freya offered.

"Like he would care. I'd advise you run, sweetheart" Maya chipped.
