Olivia's POV:

This Saturday morning, I woke up in my room and decided to inform my adoptive mother that I want to further my education at Pack University.

As a 17-year-old girl, I had seen many of my pack members fall sick, some unable to shift. This sparked a desire in me to study medicine to help them.

As I got out of my bed, I was wearing a white nightdress, and I put on my black slippers and breathed out heavily.

I knew I had to try my luck with my adoptive mother. She was cruel to me, but she pampered her own daughter, Emily.

I had to try. It was my only hope of gaining admission into the pack's university, which was expensive.

Nancy worked as a nurse in the pack's hospital, and her husband, Wren, was a lawyer for the alpha's family. Even though they were delta wolves, they were rich from working, and they took care of their two children, Mark and Emily, whom they spoiled.

Mark was a 24-year-old guy and hardly ever at home. Strangely, he had returned home because he was a basketball star and had his own money. He was spoiled and had several girlfriends. Whom he often comes home with. His mother would never reprimand him for it. She would encourage him not to take any of those girls seriously, and he should wait for his fated mate.

I couldn't blame Mark; he was rich together with his parents' wealth. The young ladies in our pack, the Starfield pack, loved him.

As I walked down the corridor, I made my way to the living room, seeing it was after 8 am. I had to try my luck because I had no wolf. I was born on a moonless night, so I couldn't shift like them.

As I unlocked the living room door, I heard Emily's eager voice saying, "Mom, I still cannot believe that Daniel Ryan, the Beta's son, is asking me to be his girlfriend."

My heart clenched when I heard Emily say that. Daniel had previously asked me to be his girlfriend, but I told him no. He didn't give me a chance to explain myself as he spat in my face and pushed me to the ground.

"Who would want to date a wolfless girl like you? I was only doing you a favor," he spat in front of many of my high school friends. I was so embarrassed, and Emily came rushing over to meet Daniel. She held his hand and told him, "Daniel, you can be my boyfriend, and don't waste your time on this bìtch."

My heart ached, but I pushed the hurt aside. They were good for each other, I thought, but Daniel peered at me angrily as he was the Beta's son, and my rejection made him feel bad. But I tried to avoid him. After all, he wasn't a student of my set. He had only come to the school for his younger sister's graduation certificate.

Shutting my eyes against the painful memories, I clenched my fists and moved into the living room. The air thickened at the sight of me, and the family at the dining table stopped eating as they sensed my presence.

"Good morning," I greeted them with a forced smile.

"Morning, Olivia, what do you want here?" Nancy asked as she picked up a glass of water and drank. She sat beside her husband while her son and daughter sat across from her.

Seeing their eyes on me, I spluttered but went straight to the point.

"Um, Aunt, I want to further my education at the pack's university."

"Hahaha!" Nancy laughed as she peered at me. She wore a blue nightdress, and she was fair and beautiful for her age.

"Why should you further your education? You're wolfless, and you don't have to think of going to the university. You should serve as our maid as repayment for all the money we spend on feeding you up to this size. Isn't that right, honey?" She shifted her gaze to her husband, who nodded.

"Yes. My mate is right," Mr. George declared.

"Olivia, you are to quit your ambition of going to the university and serve as a cleaner here," he said.

"No! It's been my dream to create a medicine to help our pack members become better. Please." I kneeled before my foster parents as I was grateful they adopted me and fed me. But I had to further my education.

Emily rose from her dining chair as she wore a white nightdress, and she rushed up to meet me.

"You bìtch! Didn't you hear Mom say that you are not going to university? You're to become a servant here in our home and clean the house. Got that!" She smacked me across my left cheek and sent me falling to the ground.

"That's enough, Emily!" Mark yelled, his icy voice made his sister jump as she turned to look at him.

"Mark, are you taking this bìtch's side over me, your sister? Mom, Dad, Mark is favoring Olivia!" Emily cried and pointed at me. The atmosphere in the dining room became thick as my foster parents looked at Mark suspiciously.

"What has come over you, Mark? "How can you defend that worthless girl? We only adopted Olivia to give Emily a younger sister, and since Emily didn't want Olivia anymore, you are not to favor Olivia or see her as your sister. Now, apologize to Emily!" Mr. George declared.

Mark peered at his parents' faces. His jaw clenched as he rose to his feet. "Mom, Dad, you both have been unjust. I won't sit here and watch you bully Olivia just because she doesn't have a wolf. If you guys don't want her presents anymore, take her back to the orphanage. I am out of here."

Mark walked away from the dining room, not sparing a glance at me, and my jaw dropped at his blunt words to his parents.

"Mark! Mark! Cone back here!" His parents tried calling him, but he had already left the house. The sound of his car starting in the garage filled the air as he drove off.

"You slut! What did you do to possess my only son?!" Nancy yelled as she rushed towards me and descended on me in the living room.

Her fists connected with my face as she smacked me continuously until I fainted.

Summer’s POV:As I perched on the silver chair in the dining room and ate my breakfast with my family, it consisted of a cup of tea paired with four slices of bread.“You need to eat more, Summer. You need to gain weight,” Caleb said, as he sat next to me in the chair. He picked another slice of bread and added it to my plate.“Maybe the food is not her favorite. Summer, do you want us to change the diet and add any meals to your menu?” Mom asked, her tone sounding soft, as her eyes met mine.“No, the food is enough. I do not have a favorite meal,” I replied calmly.Cooper grinned and said, “Then we can hire a nutritionist to help Summer improve her diet.”“Let her eat more fruit. She will look better,” Carter said, as he sat next to Cooper at the table.“Alright. We should hurry up after winning the match. I will take Summer to the fruit market to get her more fruits. Which is your favorite?” Caleb inquired, as he picked up his cup and sipped his tea. Finishing it, he set the cup on

I did not want to leave my room, as I lay on the bed.I felt sick, so I pulled the bedsheets over myself properly.Just then, the intense knocking on the door rattled me as I lay on the bed.I lazily got out of bed and went to pull the door open. I wore a white nightdress that fell past my knees.“What the hell, sis! You look a mess!” Caleb exclaimed, as it was already 8 a.m., but I was still feeling sleepy.“Good morning, brother,” I greeted him with a grumble.“What is wrong? Did Mark do anything to offend you?” Caleb asked, his voice serious as he took a step into the room. Before I could react, he checked my body temperature, but I replied, “Mark did not do anything. I am just not feeling fine.”Caleb scowled and asked, “Should we visit the pack’s hospital?” His voice was thick with concern for me, but I stopped him.“No need. You guys have games to play today, so I will get ready.”I was aware that the game was going to kick

Ava's POV.When I drove to the omega district of our pack, my stomach churned violently. My palms tightened around the steering wheel."Mate!" My wolf growled, urging me toward the mate bond.Gritting my teeth, I parked my car along the roadside. This was not the first time since I found out I was pregnant by Wren. My desire spiked, and I stayed constantly aroused."Damn it. What do I do?" I groaned in my car."Ava, are you alright?" Justin mindlinked me, and I retorted, "I am not. I told you we should find time to reject each other. I cannot accept you.""Don't say that. If you do not want me, who will you accept? An alpha cannot reject their mate, remember. You need me. I can smell your heat," he said, his voice teasing."Shut up!" I growled at him and shut him out, but he mindlinked me again."I saw you drive to that rural area. We can meet up if you want," he ordered. It tempted me, but I didn't want to get caught. If Bryan or my dad found out I was mated to Justin, they would for

Summer's POV:"Summer, you look radiant," Cooper teased me as he watched me stride back into the living room, holding the flowers.Mom's gaze landed on me. Seeing the bouquet of lavender flowers in my hands, her brows furrowed. "Who brought the flowers? Was Mark here?" Mom asked, trying to keep a neutral expression."Yes," I replied, quickly moving to the stairs."Good night, everyone," I dashed and went back to my room, as I didn't want to get any form of scolding from them. Though my brothers had no issues with Mark, I didn't want to stand there and watch my mother ruin my mood. When I entered my bedroom, my hand reached for the knob and I shut the door behind me. I moved to the drawer closer to my bed and carefully placed the bouquet of lavender flowers there. The sweet scent hung heavily in my room, and I giggled at the recollection of hugging Mark.A knock on my door startled me, and I quickly stepped away from the flowers as I rushed over to the door to find out who was there. Summer's POV:After my dinner with Mom, I decided to go outside for a stroll. When I rose to my feet to leave the house, Mom studied my face and asked, "Summer, are you sure that you are alright? Or has Mark broken up with you? Did he cheat on you?""No," I quickly denied. "He didn't cheat on me," I said, my voice shaky.Mom studied my face as a heavy silence descended in the living room. "It's fine. Just know that if I found out that Mark is cheating on you, he will never be welcomed into this house."I gulped heavily and nodded. "Got it, Mom. I want to take a stroll outside," I said, and she nodded.I walked out of the door, my heart racing loudly against my rib cage, my hands holding my phone as I checked if Mark had called me.
