Elio
I headed back to my room feeling tired. I needed to make the trip to the Silvermoon pack. It was roughly three hours’ drive away. Even so, I would have preferred someone else to make the journey.
I had met my bride-to-be on one occasion. It’s another reason I followed through on the deal. She intrigued me. My wolf also seemed to take an interest in her. Not unusual, but still I was surprised, as she didn’t fit my normal type. I had always wanted a strong alpha female to be by my side, not some … omega. No matter what my brother says, it works for him perfectly, but not me. I had plans. I was due to secure two new packs under me. I needed a luna who had a strong stomach and could handle the type of work I do.
(Flashback)
I had received an invitation to some alpha and luna’s ceremony, odd considering we didn’t really do that type of thing. The only time I helped out another alpha was to take over his pack. Still, my wolf was rather insistent that I attend. Perhaps it was devil’s advocate, but I was titillated, so with my gamma Jamal I went.
I let my aura blast out free, watching as all the alphas and luna’s flinched. They could sense my power. It was something I revelled in. It’s not a bad thing for them to know how powerful I am or the other alphas there they still owe me a debt. There was one who didn’t so much as bat an eyelid. I watched her walk away, not even noticing my presence.
Perhaps this party will be interesting after all …
Then something strange happened, something I had never done before. I followed her. Ignoring anyone else who crossed my path, my aura scared most of them away, anyway. “Alpha, you might want to rein it in. This is a celebration, not a takeover,” Jamal linked me as my jaw clicked. I pulled it back a little. I wasn’t here to make small talk.
We headed outside. My gaze found her once again. Her dazzling green eyes turned my way as she looked me dead in the eye. What the fuck? It’s normally only my pack members who can do that and when my aura in reined in. I picked up a drink, looking at the small house and gardens they consider their home. I think I’ll be doing this girl a favour. I live in a castle. After all, not a dump like this place.
One of the alpha’s approaches me, one of the brothers who ceremony this is. I can see through their veiled attempt at this little get together they are after something, I know it. I cut right to the chase, not caring that I’m being rude. This is a business event, after all. “So, which girl is to be my bride?” I asked, scanning the crowd. There were a few beauties, to be sure, but nothing compared to back home.
The alpha next to me clicked his jaw before pointing out the girl from earlier. I didn’t hear what else he said, but I smirked at the thought. Interesting. I think I could definitely have some fun with her.
A while later, my little wolf found herself all alone, so I took that as a sign to appraise her up close. She jumped a little, but only because I caught her off guard. Once again, those green eyes of hers locked with mine. I titled my head to the side … I wonder if she saw the real me would she still be able to hold my gaze? “So, little wolf, do you have a name?” I ask coldly as she turns to look at me head on.
She is a beauty; one I wouldn’t mind taking to my bed. Her full plush pink lips, slender nose with doe emerald green eyes. Plus, her long wild dark brown hair, I could grab onto as I fuck her. She catches me smirking as she folds her arms over her chest tantalisingly. “Who are you?” she asks with a tad more fire than I am used to. I thought she was meant to be some weak omega?
I take a step closer to her, letting my aura blast around her a silent command for her to answer my question. I smirk deviously when her heart skips a beat and she has the decency to avert her gaze. That’s better. “I don’t like to repeat myself … I can think of plenty of names I can call you,” I tell her as her breath hitches.
“Kara,” she adds softly. I’m pleased she can be submissive after all. “Now, was that so hard?” I taunt as her gaze locks with mine again, her nostrils flaring ever so slightly. Intriguing. I raise my finger, placing it on her temple as I swiftly read a few of her thoughts. She isn’t afraid of me, but she also has no idea who I am. Good, it will be a nice surprise for her. I trail my finger all the way down from her temple to her jaw. A faint blush coats her pretty face as I arch a brow. Perhaps this is why my brother likes omegas so much. I release her, feeling an urge bubble to the surface and walk away, heading towards Jamal.
“Everything alright alpha?” he asks, seeing my expression. I look back at the girl one last time, a cunning smirk on my lips. “Almost as soon as we got what we came for,”
(End of flashback)
My mind drifts from that moment, and I wonder if she still carries that same defiant spark in her eyes. I wonder if she has met her mate? The thought irks me for some reason, but I’m rather possessive of my things. No matter what, I will make it known that she is mine. She won’t be able to resist, just like every woman I’ve met before.
I guess she will be my chosen. I have lost all hope of finding my mate. I doubted I had one, considering … my nature. There was another I considered, not that it matters now the contract is set. I will collect what’s mine once and for all. It’s been exactly 365 days since the ceremony. I wonder if her family has let her in on the secret ...
Kara The air was sucked out of the room. All I could hear was the pounding of my heart and Caleb’s footsteps as he approached the door. Goddess, I don’t know if I can survive through this again? I know what it is like to be free. How can I go back to being cadged? I can’t. I feel the urge to run but I’m sat frozen on the spot. I feel something brush my arm, a shiver trickling down my spine. I can’t take my eyes off the door. Thud thud thud, tick tock, tick tock. The last few sands fall from the hourglass as Caleb opens the door. In walks a man I have seen before, his dangerous aura blasting around him, and I see everyone else flinching. I can feel it, but I don’t know why it doesn’t affect me like everyone else. Is it because my wolf is wild and doesn’t like to bow down to authority? Two other men flank him; one looks similar to him with the same dangerous vibe, shorter than he is but wider as he seems to have muscles on top of muscles. The next guy behind him looks familiar and I t
Kara I calmly head upstairs. Guess my plan to escape out the window is now useless. Still, I’m sure there is a way around it. I don’t know what this blood oath means, but surely there is some … wiggle room? I hear his heavy feet climb the stairs behind me. When I look back over my shoulder, all my family and his men are waiting at the bottom. They all stare up at us, making me bite my lip. This is not how I imagined my family reacting to my betrothed, but then again, I never pictured anything like this. I keep the package hidden just about in my jeans pocket. It barely fits, and if it wasn’t for the baggy knit jumper I was wearing, I have no idea how I was going to hide it. I also didn’t need Elio watching me. I’m sure he would be suspicious of what’s inside. For that reason, he can’t catch me with it. When we reach my bedroom, I step in, going to close the door on him when his foot wedges the door open. “I told you we need to chat, little wolf,” his tone is commanding as he pushe
Kara After three long brooding hours, we were finally getting close to the Crimson Moon Pack. I had never seen anything like it. The size of the pack was bigger than some of the human cities I had visited. It was incredibly cold, the dark starry sky shone like diamonds against the black canvas. I could just make out the shape of the huge tan wall that acted as a barricade surrounding the entire city. The place was a fortress. As we drove over the sand dunes, I wondered how I would survive the heat here. It’s unusual for wolves to pick a place where there are little to no trees or plants as far as the eye can see. Despite its desert state, it was rather beautiful. There were towers and turrets everywhere I could see. How did they all survive this heat? No wonder Elio was powerful. Who would challenge him when the elements are this fierce? I was feeling weak from lack of food and drink. Was he really going to starve me? Didn’t he need to eat or drink to survive? I glanced up at him,
KaraHis brother comes up, pulling his shoulder to release me as I gag for air. Elio takes a few steps back and I can see the two of them are mind linking. My lower lip trembles as I snap my eyes shut. How could I have been so stupid? I know what I need to do to survive. Why would I risk my life? His threat circles in my head about not being his wife over and over. I take another breath. I need to play this smart. Being his wife comes with security, respect so many advantages I would have. If I lose that, what will become of me? He won’t just lock me up and throw away the key, not if his tone is anything to go by. He will choose something to punish me, humiliate me. Then, when I crave death, he will find some other torment. No Kara, you can do this. I chant as I force my wolf back, the oxygen recirculating my body, making it easier to control her. When I look up at both of them, they are both staring at me. “This is my brother, Cahya. He is the beta of this pack. I have also told him
KaraI close the door to my bedroom. Goddess, it is five times the size of mine back home. I turn, seeing a little peephole through the door and sure enough, Marquis is still waiting outside. I need to calm down … perhaps a bath and some food will help. It’s hard to feel trapped when I can do cartwheels across the floor. I have never seen a room so big. There is a huge king size bed that I will drown in. it has its own curtain around the top of the bed frame. One wall is all arches with a view of the entire city. There is a walk-in wardrobe that I will use one shelf of with all the clothes I packed. Not that it matters, as the wardrobe is stocked with dresses, shoes, trousers, tops, jumpers, jackets. Anything I could ever want or need for my lifetime of servitude. Wonderful.I refuse to linger there too long. If I do, I will probably find ways for my mind to trick me into thinking he bought all these items for me. That he took the care to choose what I would wear. But I doubt it. It
Kara Despite the dark, damp smell that is coming from the twisted corridor, I decided to take a step. If they don’t know this corridor is here, perhaps … This could lead to me getting out of the castle. Then what I don’t know, but curiosity got the better of me, so I carried on all the same. I had only ever read one book when I was younger. It was a about 12 princesses who lived in a castle and would escape to dance all night with their prince. I wonder if this would lead me to my prince? The uneven steps made it tricky to manoeuvre down the further I went the light from my room began to disappear. Not that it mattered as a werewolf I can see easily in the dark, but there is something comforting about light. The sound of water dripping on some of the steps echoed through the air, making them slippery to walk on. Where does this lead? Once I was completely submerged in the darkness, there was a fork in my path, left, or right? This was a little tricky, as now I wasn’t sure where to
Elio All night, I kept envisioning her body. So beautiful. I wanted her. The image of her in the bathtub replayed over and over again in my mind. How she stood up, the water trickling down her breasts, curves and that pussy … so pink and perfect I was hard instantly. Of course, that image of her only lasted a second before she screamed bloody murder and dived back under the water to cover herself. One day she will scream like that for me. The entire castle will hear her. For such a sinful body, her face is so innocent. The green doe eyes and the plush pink pouty lips. The image of her on her knees as I feed my cock into her mouth has me twitching. Fuck. Then there is her fucking scent of sunshine and roses. I went back into the bathroom once I knew she had left. I replayed her standing before me, naked. The steam from her bath lingered, as did her scent. I trailed my fingers along the surface of the water, imagining how the water cascaded down over her smooth skin. Those water
Kara Burning flames and eyes filled my dreams last night. I don’t know how I made it back to my room, but I did. I am never ever going down there again. What is he keeping here? I woke with a start. The feeling of the shadow creature touching me lingered on my skin. I could still smell the faint smell of flames as I looked around my room. There was a knock at the door as I slowly tiptoed to the door, pushing away the furniture I’d used to barricade myself in. “Hello?” I asked tentatively. My skin was already warming with the heat of the day, a light sheen of sweat beginning to coat my skin. “Kara, please open up. I have brought you breakfast,” Marquis calls through the door for a fleeting second. I’m disappointed it’s not Elio. We are to be married soon; will he not spend any time with me? I shake my head at the thought, why do I want him too? I look over at where all the food from last night lay, thinking I can just graze on some of the fruit and nuts that were there. It’s gone.
