The pain that emanates from the inevitability of not knowing what happens next is so sharp and succinct. It mars you only to mar you again.

A thing about the past is that it never leaves you, no matter how promising the future fit's into the canvas' frame, the wound remains fresh. Creating a constant reminder that you'd never really heal from it. I hadn't healed from the accident that happened a few years back, it never really looked like I was going to heal.

I relived every day, every moment, creating conspiracy theories that'd have prevented the accident from happening. These thoughts marred me, only to mar me again.

I was there again, all blood and broken shards. Staring down below the battered figure that had become of my brother. I could no longer see the smile he usually wore when we went out on night's as these. I could no longer see those bright sparks that lingered within the hearth of his eyes and the thought of never seeing them again made me shed out an ocean. I
