Daniel’s P.O.V
I couldn't bear to look back. The pain of leaving Linda behind seared through my chest like a hot iron, but I knew I had to do it. My duty to the pack and my responsibility to protect my sister outweighed my desires. It tore me apart to see Linda's tear-stained face, her pleas echoing in my mind as I walked away.I couldn't shake the image of Linda standing there, her hand pressed to her heart. I had always been captivated by her spirit, her fierce determination, but now our love seemed destined to remain a forbidden dream.Since childhood, I had adored her, hoping she would be my destined mate. She was everything I wanted, and the absolute love of my life, my love for her knew no bounds. When I vowed to be with her forever, I meant every word. But reality demanded that I fulfill my role. As an orphan, I had sworn to protect my sister, and now that vow echoed through my mind. The path I had chosen meant sacrificing my own happiness for the sake of my loved ones.Just as I thought i was alone with my thoughts, a familiar voice broke through the stillness. "Daniel! Daniel, wait up!" called out a familiar voice. I turned to see my younger sister, Emily, running towards me, with concern evident on her face.Breathing heavily, Emily caught up to me, her eyes wide with worry. "Daniel, what are you doing? I heard about Linda. Are you okay? Are you in trouble?"I sighed, my gaze filled with both affection and sadness. "Emily, I'm fine. But things have changed. Linda and I... we can't be together."Tears welled up in Emily's eyes as she looked at her brother, her voice trembling. "But why, Daniel? I've seen how much you love her. Is it because of the Alpha? Is he forcing you to give her up?"I gently placed a hand on Emily's shoulder, my voice was filled with a mix of sadness and determination. "It's complicated, Em. The Alpha's claim on Linda is strong, and going against it would put our entire pack at risk. I can't let that happen. I have to protect you."Emily's eyes filled with both understanding and defiance. "But what about your own happiness, Daniel? Don't you deserve love too? Is sacrificing your own feelings the only way?, you are always sacrifice your happiness for mine. When will you be truly happy?.A pained expression crossed my face as i met my sister's gaze. "Sometimes, Em, we have to make difficult choices for the greater good. Love can be a powerful force, but so is duty and responsibility. I can't put our pack or you in danger just to pursue my own happiness. Linda and I have to accept our separate paths."Emily's shoulders slumped, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I hate this, Daniel. I hate that you have to bear this burden. It's not fair, the pack doesn’t care about you neither does the alpha. Ever since mom and dad died, it has been all been work, work, work. Linda was the only one who helped ease the pain. The pack only mourned for few days and forgot about us. Why can’t you fight for her or come up with a plan that could make the alpha reject her. I’m sure the alpha wouldn’t want a troublesome Luna.”I looked into my sister's tear-filled eyes, my heart aching with both love for her and the weight of his responsibility. Emily's words cut through me like a knife, stirring a mix of frustration and longing within me. I understood her pain and her desire for me to fight for my own happiness.“Emily, I wish it were that simple," I said, his voice filled with a heavy sigh. "But the Alpha's claim on Linda is strong, and defying it would have severe consequences for our pack. I can't jeopardize everyone's safety for my own desires."Emily reached out and clasped my hand, her grip warm and supportive. “No matter what choice you make, Daniel, I'll be there for you. Take your time to reflect and reach a final decision. I understand your fear of the alpha, but don't let it rob you of your happiness."“Thank you Em, I love you”, I replied, hugging her briefly. While walking away, my mind raced with conflicting emotions as i contemplated my sister Emily's words. Could there be another way? A plan that would allow me to protect Linda and my love without jeopardizing my sister’s life? The idea began to take hold, and i felt a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness.“I must speak with Linda immediately,” I thought. My heart weighed heavy as I approached Linda's house. The memories of our shared love and the promise of a future together lingered in my mind, but a sense of foreboding crept over me. I had to see Linda, to tell her about Emily's idea and also to find solace in her embrace while praying she isn’t mad about what I said in the forest during our last meeting. However, fate had other plans in store for me. As i reached Linda's doorstep, I lightly knocked on the door. The maid, Sarah answered the door."Daniel," she said softly, her voice tinged with curiosity. "What brings you here by this time of the day? Is something wrong?”“Hello Sarah, is Linda in?,” I asked hurriedly.I'm sorry, but Linda isn't here. She's gone for the day." She answered. My heart sank as disappointment washed over me. “Gone? Where did she go to?"Sarah paused for a moment, her brow furrowing in thought. "I'm not exactly sure, Daniel. She and her parents left the house not long ago. I'm not exactly sure where they went. You can check back later or leave a message, and I'll make sure she gets it, if you don't mind."A mix of concern and curiosity surged through me. “Not to worry Sarah, I’ll come back later. Thank you.” I turned to take my leave, pondering on where they all went to in the middle of the day as I headed back to the palace to carry out my duties.Linda’s P.O.VAs we approached the Alpha's mansion, the weight of anticipation settled heavily upon us. The guards at the entrance stood tall and imposing, their eyes scanning our group. My parents and I exchanged nervous glances, understanding the gravity of the situation. We were about to face the formidable Alpha, Bruno Blackwood. One of the guards stepped forward, his voice laced with authority. "Halt! State your business."My father cleared his throat, his voice steady yet tinged with apprehension. "We are here to seek an audience with Alpha Blackwood. It concerns our daughter, Linda."The guard scrutinized us for a moment, then nodded curtly. "Very well. Proceed."With a collective breath, we entered the grand mansion and were led to the meeting hall. Theroom was opulent, adorned with tapestries and intricate carvings. At the head of a long table sat Alpha Blackwood, exuding an aura of power and authority, his stern gaze fixed upon us.Bowing slightly, we greeted the alpha."Al
Linda’s P.O.VI watched as my mother joyfully savored each bite of her meal, a contented smile adorning her face. Meanwhile, my father sat across from my mother, his expression marked by sadness and worry. His eyes met mine, and we shared a moment of understanding. However, I couldn't find it within myself to eat. A knot tightened in my stomach, a physical manifestation of the sadness and anxiety I felt. She pushed her food around her plate, unable to bring herself to take a bite.My father glanced at me, concern etched in his features. "Linda, sweetheart, aren't you hungry? You need to eat something."I mustered a weak smile, my voice laced with sadness. "I'm just not feeling well, Dad. It's hard to eat when my stomach is tied up in knots."My mother, unaware of the inner turmoil I was experiencing, chimed in cheerfully. "Oh, Linda, you're missing out on such a delicious meal! The flavors are exquisite. You should try some."Observing my lack of response, my mother raised her voice s
Daniel’s P.O.VI stormed away from the meeting hall, feeling a mix of sadness and anger. I muttered to myself, frustrated with Linda for not waiting and mad at myself for being too slow to meet her before the ceremony. I blamed myself for asking her to let go when she wanted to fight for our love. Jake, my wolf, shared my frustration. We had loved Linda since childhood, even though she wasn't our destined mate.“Why couldn't she just hold on a little longer?" I growled through gritted teeth, my voice laced with irritation."Daniel, calm down," Jake urged in a soothing tone, its voice resonating in my head. "She made her choice, and we must respect it. Our mate will come when the time is right."I shook my head, stubborn and unwavering. "No! I don’t want anyone else but Linda, Linda is the only woman I’ll ever be able to love. I won't let her slip away."“But going against the alpha alone would be reckless," Jake warned, concerned for their safety. "Think about the consequences. We cou
Linda’s P.O.VAs I gradually regained consciousness, the world around me came into sharper focus. I discovered myself lying in a bed and a room that was unfamiliar to me. Questions swirled in my mind as I tried to piece together how I ended up here and what had transpired the previous night. I sat up, gently rubbing my temples to alleviate the lingering headache that plagued me.“Good morning, Linda," a voice resonated within me, catching me off guard.Surprised, I surveyed the room, searching for the source of the voice. Then it hit me – it was my wolf, the inner essence that had stirred when I fainted."Is that... is that really you?" I whispered, unsure of how to communicate with this newfound presence dwelling inside me."Yes, it's me, your wolf," the voice responded, emanating a mixture of strength and wisdom. "We are now connected, bound together by the mating ceremony. I am a part of you, just as you are a part of me."“Wow," I exclaimed, feeling a surge of excitement at the th
Bruno’s P.O.VAs I wearily entered my room, drained after a demanding day, a heavy weariness settled in my bones. The weight of alpha responsibilities took its toll, leaving me exhausted and on the verge of burnout. Letting out a deep sigh, I shed my clothes, each layer coming off with a sense of fatigue.Thoughts of the rogue intrusions we discussed during the meeting crossed my mind. "Is strengthening the security at the southern gate enough?" I wondered. There seemed to be an insider granting easy access to the rogues, someone with significant power. I would discuss this with the beta and gamma for a discreet investigation.Interrupted by soft chuckles from the library, anger flared within me. Who dared invade my private space? The library was off-limits except to me and the maids who occasionally cleaned it.Ignoring my exhaustion, I pushed open the library door with force. The room greeted me with a dim, hushed ambiance, highlighting the shelves filled with my beloved books, each
Linda’s P.O.VAs Bruno left the room, I felt frustrated and angry. He didn't give me a chance to explain or apologize. Camille, the head cook, stepped forward with a stern face and confronted one of the maids saying, “Why did you say such a thing about the Luna? it seems you have forgotten your place in this mansion.”“But I was only telling the truth, did you expect me to lie?” The maid retorted. Before Camille could respond, I interjected. “what did you tell the alpha?”Camille hesitated for a moment, sensing the tension. Finally, she reluctantly replied, “She only said some silly things, Luna. Please don’t pay heed to her.”Her response didn't satisfy me, so I asked again, my frustration mounting. "I won't repeat myself. What did you tell the alpha?" I demanded, feeling increasingly agitated. This time, the maid looked me in the eye defiantly and replied, "I simply told the alpha that no one had given you permission to enter his library."“And you also said that she has been snoopi
Bruno’s P.O.VAs I stood in my room, staring at the strange package on my bed, I felt a mix of curiosity and anger. Who would send me something like this? Who dared to enter my room without my knowledge? I approached the package and untied the ribbon that bound it. I pushed it to the ground, and a dead bird fell out, with a letter tied to its feet. I picked up the letter and read its contents. It had an inscription written in blood, demanding that I surrender my pack and step down, or face the same fate as the bird.“Sick bastard," I hissed through clenched teeth. Anger surged within me, mingling with a growing sense of unease. I searched the room, my eyes darting from corner to corner, seeking any sign of the intruder who dared invade my sanctuary.I immediately mind-linked my beta and gamma and asked them to meet me in my study. I knew I could rely on them for a discreet investigation.Carrying the parcel with the bird and letter, I entered my study where Daniel, my beta, and Marcel
Linda’s P.O.VI stared at the lifeless body of the maid, as crimson-red blood slowly dripped from her mouth. I let out a scream as I stumbled backward, my body collapsing to the ground with trembling hands.A maid rushed in and stood in front of me trying to talk to me, but her voice sounded distant and muffled.Camille's urgent voice cut through the haze. "Call the security," she said, her words barely reaching my ears.Bruno and Marcel entered the kitchen, but their presence felt distant. They looked at the situation and gave instructions, but their words didn't quite register in my mind.A maid guided me back into my room and ran a cold bath for me.As the cold water washed over me, I slowly snapped out of the fog that had enveloped my mind. As I stepped out of the bathroom, entering my room, the maid asked, “Luna, do you want some breakfast? Can I get you something?" her voice filled with concern but my mind was still reeling from the sight of the dead maid. The image flashed thro
