Bruno’s P.O.V

I watched as Linda threw the tray of food on the floor with her eyes shooting daggers at Ruby. I had not wanted to eat the food as I wasn’t hungry but I didn’t want Ruby to pester me so much and I didn’t want to be rude by sending her out of my bedroom.

Linda stood in front of Ruby and sized her up and down with anger in her eyes.

“Get out of my mate’s room you wench!” She yelled while pointing to the door.

I stared at her in surprise wondering why she was calling Ruby a wench, they were as close as blood sisters the last time I checked. What changed? Or did she find out Ruby was the one who told me about her affair with Daniel?

Ruby's eyes darted towards me, she stared at me as if waiting for me to counter Linda’s orders.

“You can leave Ruby,” I told her and she looked at me in surprise.

“But… but alpha, she shouldn’t be here,” she countered, her eyes beaming with malice.

“Leave Ruby,” I said again, dismissing her with my hands.
