Liana's POV

With the series of events that had unfolded today, I didn't think it could get any worse, but apparently, mother nature had a very funny way of proving me wrong. At this point, I liked to think that sometimes she would just sit down in her throne or wherever she sat, and just start pushing random buttons. Random buttons whose sole function was to make life a living hell for me. That had to be it, because it made no sense as to why, I was just jumping from one problem to the other, when I was trying my hardest to avoid it at all cost.

Someone gasped in the distance, and that was it took to pull me back to the present. It had come from one of the servants behind me, but I was too occupied with the little scene in front of me to check it out.

Everything had happened so fast that there was no way I could have predicted the sudden switch up of events. Even if a seer had predicted it to me, I wasn't sure I would have believed it, and that was me simply being nice.

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 86

Liana's POV I knew Kieran was mad, maybe, just maybe I shouldn't have said what I did. Goddess knows I didn't mean anything like that when I'd let it slip. I was only trying to make him understand why his absence rattled me so much. It wasn't an excuse, but I guess I just didn't see Kieran's reacting to it like that, at all. One minute we were all lovey dovey, and the next, he didn't so much as want to be near me. I'd watched the way the expression on his face morphed from sweet to hurt in just the span of one second.I'd tried pleading with him, but he just didn't want to listen. The moment he'd burst out of my room was when it dawned on me that I'd messed up really bad. I wanted to trail after him immediately, but I decided against it. I told myself that he probably needed time to process it all and probably calm down, but I was wrong. Even after letting him be for some hours, he still didn't want to be anywhere near me. He'd ignored me still even when I came to his office. I

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 85

Kieran's POV I knew I'd done wrong the moment I left the palace for work, without informing Liana about it first. I knew how she got when it came to things like that, and even though I'd honestly tried to avoid it, it just didn't work out. I had to leave as soon as possible. A small part of me had wanted to inform a maid to pass the message across, but I knew she wouldn't take it well either. I'd known Liana well enough to know that even the smallest things offended her, and not telling her directly was one of them. There was a very high chance that she would see it as me saying she wasn't important, meanwhile that was far from the truth. So that's why, the moment I arrived, I made my way to her room. She was already aeeo by the time I let myself in, but it didn't change how beautiful she looked. Her hair had cascaded down her face, and I'd peeled it off her face in the most gentle manner I could muster. If it were up to me, I wouldn't mind doing that forever, so long as she was

  • Mated To The Alpha King    Chapter 84

Liana's POV I wasn't overly superstitious, but with the train of events going on lately, I was starting to think otherwise. Maybe I'd offended someone in the past, and it was only starting to catch up with me now. Whatever it was, I didn't like it. Not one bit. The banging on the other side of the door was all it took to pull me out of my thoughts. I blinked back a couple of times, willing my eyes to adjust to it's environment again. I barely had time to even do that either, because another baby cut through my thoughts. What the hell was that? It wasn't a what, but a who, if I was being specific. I felt my heart drop to my feet the moment I watched someone's hand sneak in through the opening in the door. The protruding hand was the sole reason my door was refusing to shut all the way. With my back still pressed against the door, I stared at the hand, and a wave of goosebumps raced down my spine the moment I realized it didn't belong to Kieran. Kieran wouldn't have to struggle

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 82

Liana's POV When I'd woken up this morning, I'd muttered a prayer to the moon goddess that I didn't want anything going wrong. I honestly thought she was going to listen to me, given the fact that Kieran had intervened and his words had not only comforted me, but confirmed that he cared about me. A lot. “You have nothing to worry about.” His words from yesterday pierced into my thoughts. “I won't let anyone bother you.” Kieran had sealed it all with a kiss, and I'd leaned in to kiss him back. Everything was going smoothly, until she showed up.Samantha.For a moment, it has actually skipped my mind that she and Ryle were around. I'd made a promise to myself to forget and completely ignore them, but apparently, they had other plans.“Are you perhaps deaf now?” Samantha's loud voice cut through my thoughts. I blinked back as I Willed my eyes to adjust to what was happening, but bo matter how hard I blinked, nothing changed. She was still a blazing ball of the in front of me. “I kne

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 81

Liana's POV I didn't know what to make of the entire scenario. I didn't even know what to think, but watching Richard and Kieran walk back into the palace wasn't what I was expecting. I didn't even know what I was expecting to be honest. I was beyond blank, and I wasn't sure what was going to help me. My mind was a mess, and matter how hard I tried to convince myself I was no longer reeling from the scene Ryle and Samantha had just pulled, one glance at their faces was all it took to remind me again. Shit. Why were they here? What did they want from me? What did they….The rest of my thoughts didn't get to see the light as Kieran's footsteps reached my ears. I wasn't sure how long he'd been gone for, but I let out a breath I had no idea I was holding on to when he arrived again. “You have one week to leave.” Kieran let out. “Just one week.”“What?” Samantha cried out loud. “come on Kieran, you can't be serious. What do you mean by one week? You can't just ….”“I can and I jus
