I dragged my bags down the stairs, every thud of the wheels on the steps echoing like a slow drumbeat of defeat. My arms ached from the weight of the suitcase.

My eyes burned, but the tears had dried up. I had nothing left to cry. No anger, no sadness. Just that cold, hollow silence that comes after the storm.

Cassian was waiting by the front door, arms crossed, looking every bit the smug Alpha who got his way. I didn't spare him a glance, just completely ignored him.

"Ready?" he asked, like this was a vacation. This was hell.

I didn't respond. I pushed the door open, dragging my bag out like it carried the weight of my defeat.

The black SUV idled in the driveway, sleek and ominous. A driver stood by, eyeing me with careful neutrality, as if he wasn't sure whether to bow or pretend I didn't exist. As if deciding, he bowed.

Cassian came up behind me. "I said—"

"I heard you," I muttered, cutting him off as I walked straight to the car.

The driver opened the door and I slid

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me    Chapter 13: Cassian’s POV

Cassian's POV "She picked a green dress," Kira reported, folding her arms in disapproval. "We tried to stop her, but she threatened to take away my freedom. I was so shocked. Her hostility is not Luna material." She averted her gaze to the ground. “What would the council say when they officially meet her?" I leaned back in my chair, staring up at the ceiling. Kira, Talia, the pack, rogues, pains in my fucking ass. "Say something, Cassian. You need to put her in check." Her loud voice scratched at my ears. Put her in check ? How exactly was I supposed to do that ? "She..." "Can you stop talking?" I interrupted. "I'm trying to think." I didn't look at her, didn't need to, but I heard her slump into her seat in defeat. My head hurt from all the paperwork I've had to deal with, meetings I've had to attend, and now this, Talia being a pain as usual. "We've had more rogue spotting in the past week than usual." "Cassian... Talia." I averted my gaze to her, fixing her with

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me    Chapter 12: know your place

I hated shopping. Correction: I hated being forced to shop with two minions that made my life miserable. The boutique was obnoxiously luxurious, with marble floors, gold-accented mirrors, and racks upon racks of designer clothes that probably cost more than most wolves made in a month. Everything about it screamed elegance and wealth. Show-offs. "Alpha Cassian sent us ahead," Nicole told the sales assistant at the door, who immediately bowed and welcomed us in with a tight smile and too much enthusiasm. Kira strutted in like she owned the place, heels clacking, hips swaying, and eyes already scanning for the most expensive thing she couldn't afford. I followed after them, dragging my feet and trying not to look like a hostage. Because that's exactly what I was. A hostage. "This is where the Luna shops," Kira mocked with a smirk, her voice a little too loud. "Not some dusty thrift store in Rome." I ignored her, walking straight to the back where the racks were less flashy

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me    Chapter 11

I woke up with a groan. I glanced around, frowning in confusion at the unfamiliar room. It was sleek and modern, with neutral walls, soft lighting, and minimal décor. The bed beneath me was large and firm, wrapped in crisp white sheets. A tall window let in filtered sunlight through sheer curtains, and a faint scent of sandalwood lingered in the air. Then it hit me. Cassian's pack house. His suite. My stomach sank. This wasn't a nightmare. It was real. I felt a tad bit lonely at the fact that Tasha wasn't here to drag me out of bed. Tasha. I was still mad at her for betraying me. I laid back down, looking up at the boring ceiling. A rasp knock on the door. I ignored it, turning to face the window. The person knocked again and tried to open the door. Thank heavens I had locked it the night before. "What ?" I called out in frustration. "It's 12 p.m. Why are you still in bed ?" An unfamiliar female voice called out. I frowned. I only wanted Tasha. She's the only person allo

"What took you so long?" He brushed past me, heading straight to the living room. I shut the door, hot on his heels. "Who said you could come in?""I do whatever I like." "Not in this house." "I'm the Alpha. I command respect wherever I go," he said smugly, irking me. "What do you want?" I folded my hand, narrowing my eyes at him. “Why are you here ?" "To get my mate." "Excuse me?" I asked, voice low. Dangerous.Cassian turned to face me, the very picture of smug confidence. His hazel eyes gleamed with challenge as he took a step closer, his towering frame making the room feel smaller by the second."You heard me," he said, voice calm, too calm. "You're coming with me."I let out a short, humourless laugh. "Like hell I am."His jaw tightened. "You don't have a choice."“Yes, I do, Cassian. And I’m not going anywhere with you.” I walked to the door and opened it wide. “If that’s all you came for, you can leave now.” He chuckled, the sound low, dangerous. It made my body tingle.

I woke up with a groan. My eyes felt heavy and my body ached. The ball last night had weighed me down more than expected."What a terrible nightmare," I chuckled to myself, remembering the events that transpired. “Imagine being mated to..." The words dried down on my tongue when I spotted the green ball dress I'd worn the night before. It, in fact, wasn't a nightmare; I was really mated to Cassian. I laid down on my back, staring up at the ceiling. Cassian. "Talia?" My sister's voice called out from outside the room. I ignored her, hoping she'd go away. "I know you're up." I shut my eyes and turned to my side, the moment she twisted the door knob. I heard footsteps and then, blinding lights. She opened the curtains, the morning sun spilling in like poison, hurting my eyes. I groaned. She took the covers off me. "Come onnnn," she grabbed my shoulders, dragging me up to a sitting position while I grumbled underneath my breath. “It’s the day after your official Luna coronation." "The
