The dining room was too quiet. The only sound was the faint clink of silverware against porcelain and the occasional creak of the chandelier swaying above us.

I shifted in my seat, trying not to wince as pain flared through my ribs. Cassian noticed, of course he did. His gaze flicked to me instantly, sharp and assessing. I gave him a small, reassuring nod, even though the truth was I still felt like I'd been trampled by a damn herd of wolves.

"How are you feeling?" Nicole asked from across the table, his brows drawn with concern.

I sighed. "You know, if I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that question today, I'd probably be able to buy my own pack by now."

Kira snorted softly, setting her glass down with a little too much grace. "At least people care enough to ask," she said, her voice laced with that familiar edge.

I didn't rise to it. I just smiled sweetly. "You're right. I should cherish it more. Some people can’t relate."

I didn’t know why she was here anyway. It felt

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 203: they’ve set a trial

Talia's POV The room was cold, bare, lifeless. I sat on the stone floor with my back against the wall, my head pounding, my throat raw, my body drained in a way that went deeper than exhaustion. It felt like something had been ripped out of me and left to bleed. I'd been dragged here like a criminal. I could still see it—feel it. The way their hands clamped around my arms roughly. Could still hear the murmurs that followed us down the corridor. Could see the curiosity, the judgment, the satisfaction. The council hadn't even tried to hide it. And Melissa... goddess, the victory on her face had been worse than the shackles they hadn't bothered using. She'd watched like this was something she'd waited for. I'd kept my chin up. Shoulders squared. Even when my chest tightened until each breath burned. Even when my limbs trembled with every step, my wolf whimpering quietly in the back of my mind, confused and hurting. I hadn't given them the satisfaction of seeing me break. But now,

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 202: who the fuck are you?

Talia's POV Pain was the first thing I felt. A pounding, relentless ache split through my skull, like something was trying to claw its way out from behind my eyes. I groaned, squeezing them shut tighter, but the pressure only intensified. My temples throbbed in time with my heartbeat. A strong feeling of nausea hit me. Then the voice came. ‘Talia—please’ I froze. Nicole. His voice wasn't coming from the room. It wasn't a sound at all, or a mindlink—not really. It was inside my head, it was strained and urgent, like he was shouting through water. ‘If you’re hearing this… Kira escaped. She has a powerful relic. Watch out’ he said quickly. The pain spiked viciously. "Stop," I whispered hoarsely, clutching my head. "Nicole—wait—" But the connection shattered before I could really grasp it. The words were like fragments, fragments I couldn’t understand. Powerful relic. Kira. Be careful. My breathing turned shallow. My body felt wrong—heavy, sluggish, like I'

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 201: please be careful

Nicole’s POV We walked for what felt like hours. The forest blurred into an endless stretch of trees and shadows, my legs aching, my patience wearing thin. I glanced at my companion for what had to be the hundredth time that night. “You said you knew the way?” I asked. It came out sharper than I intended—more accusation than question. He didn’t even slow down. Just shrugged, hands buried in his jacket like this was a casual midnight stroll and not a desperate escape. “I know a way.” I scoffed. “That’s not what you said.” He shot me a sideways look but kept moving. “You’re still alive, aren’t you?” “We’ve been at this for too long,” I snapped, finally stopping. My boots crunched against dried leaves. “You know where I’m from” he opened his mouth to deny it but I wasn’t having it. “Don’t even bother with the denial. How long until we reach the pack?” He stopped too. Turned fully this time, his eyes dark, calculating. There was a pause, a pause too long. “How long,” I repeated,

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 200: if you betray me, I’ll haunt you.

Nicole’s POV I paced the cramped space, frustrated, desperate. My fingers twitched with the urge to pull at my hair. Three days. Three days I’ve been locked in here with no chance of escaping. Every-time a guard entered to give me food and water, he’d remain outside, choosing to keep his distance. If I could just get to him, if I could just… “Damn it!” I pressed my forehead against the wall, letting the cold seep into my skin. I needed something to calm me down. Needed to think with clarity. My mind—traitorous bastard—slipped to Mason. News flash—he did nothing to calm me down. Instead, he riled me up even more. That damn blank expression, the damn silence. Damn it. Damn him. The only other person I could think of was Talia. Her soft smile, her wild personality. She was at stake here. Her safety was at stake and I couldn’t even do anything. “One task Nicole.” I whispered helplessly. “Just one task you were trusted with. And you couldn’t even do it.” I settled on the

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 199:I’m fighting something

Talia’s POV I lay on my back, staring up at the white ceiling, counting the tiny cracks like they might rearrange themselves into answers if I looked long enough. They didn’t. Instead, my mind replayed the argument with Cassian on a cruel loop—the words he’d chosen, the distance in his voice, the way his eyes had gone cold like he was already somewhere else. It hurt. Hurt in a way that sank past skin and bone and lodged itself deep in my chest, where my wolf paced restlessly, whining. ‘You need to bond with him,’ she whispered again, softer this time. Worried. “How?” The helplessness slipped out of me before I could stop it. I could face the council. I could face Kira. I could face an entire pack that suddenly hated me. But this—this slow, quiet withdrawal from my mate—this terrified me. I squeezed my eyes shut. I’d felt him earlier, that spike of desperation leaking through the bond like a crack in a dam. He’d tried to reach me, to speak, to explain. I’d shut him out. I wasn’

  • Mated To The Alpha Who Bullied Me   Chapter 198: why can’t I remember?

Cassian's POV I followed the voice. Got in my car, my knuckles whitening around the steering wheel as the engine roared to life. It called to me—low, coaxing, familiar in a way that sank under my skin. I didn't know where I was going, didn't even question it. I just drove. Every turn came naturally, like muscle memory, like something deep inside me already knew the way. After minutes that felt both too long and not long enough, I pulled over at the edge of the woods. ‘Come to me, Cassian.’ My chest tightened. I stepped out of the car, branches snapping against my jacket as I moved deeper into the trees. I didn't slow. I didn't hesitate. I walked like a man possessed, like stopping wasn't an option. I had one mission. To get to the voice. The clearing opened up suddenly, and a deep feeling of nostalgia slammed into me hard enough to steal my breath. This place. I recognized it. This was where we used to come—me, Nicole, Kira. The place we’d laughed, when everyth
