Denae stared into her dresser mirror, brushing her hair behind her ears…it was now time to sneak down to the abandon bathroom near the pack borders, it was time for her to visit Zaid.

Her steps were slow and steady as she walked towards her door, gripping the knob and twisting it. Claudia wasn’t here…as promised, she had gone to visit Jerald, keeping him busy enough so that Denae didn’t really have to worry about him catching her.

But Denae still had three girls to worry about…Gia, Hannah and Elizabeth…

With careful hands, she pulled her door open, listening to the low, creaky sound it made. She stepped through it, heading down the hall and then down the sturdy wooden stairs.

She looked around, studying the darkness in the house with eyes that were focused and unwavering. The things she had to do to survive…

Sighing, she walked towards the exit when she neither heard nor saw anyone, opening up the noisiest door in this house; the front door.

She hissed silently at it, glancing behind her once more before stepping through it…however, as soon as she did, she regretted it because outside stood both of her nightmares; Claudia and her evil husband.

They turned to her, and Denae nervously twisted away.

“Ohh Denae…where are you going this late?”

“Fresh air…” Denae breathed out. “I couldn’t sleep, so I was going out for some fresh air.”

“I was actually coming to see you.” He stepped away from Claudia, his movements leading him just inches away from Denae’s ears. “I actually have the perfect remedy to put you asleep.”

She could hear the smirk in his voice even before she saw it, and her stomach twisted when his arms wrapped around her waist. “I’m sorry Claudia, it seems Denae requires my attention more than you.”

Claudia pouted at him, reaching for his free hand and pathetically tugging at it. “But Jerald…you promised…you said you’d sleep in my room tonight.”

Jerald glared down at her hand, his gaze willing her to let go him. “You’d better go to your room before you make me angry, Claudia.”

Claudia’s eyes watered as she let go of him, wiping angrily at her tears. “This always happens…I hate you!”

Jerald’s hand loosened around Denae’s waist just to grab harshly at Claudia’s face. “I already satisfied you, didn’t I? Stop annoying me and go to your f*cking room.”

Her fear was palpable now, Denae could see it in her eyes even in the darkness.

“O-Okay.” She whispered.

He let go of her and smiled. “Good, now give me a kiss before you go.”

Claudia tipped up on her toes, kissing the man’s lips without hesitation, and then she walked through the door Denae just came out of. Denae couldn’t understand what was going through that girl’s head when she kissed him or when she attempted to beg him to stay with her instead…but she wished Jerald had gone.

“Denae, my love…the breeze is cool, isn’t it? We could stay out here for a while before I loll you to sleep.” Denae held her head low, a chill running down her spine when his arm wrapped around her waist again. “What do you think about that?”

“I think…I think you should go c-comfort Claudia…s-she…I mean she was c-crying.”

The man’s grip around her tightened as he pulled her against his chest, his revolting scent nauseating her. “You don’t have the authority to tell me what to do, Denae. You’re more precious to me than Claudia ever could be, it’s okay for her to cry, she’ll come running back with a smile at the breakfast table tomorrow morning.”

“But…But sh~”

“Shh…enough about Claudia, let’s go to your room, my c*ck’s already hard…not for her, but for you.”

Denae’s jaws clenched in frustration as he led her back inside, tracing the stairs back to her room. He clicked the door locked and that was when tears gathered in her eyes. He knew this wasn’t what she wanted…he knew she hated it whenever he came to her room or whenever he demanded her presence in his…

He was only doing this to get on her nerves…to fuel her hate for him even more.

He sauntered over to her bed, taking a seat at the very edge of it with that mischievous smirk on his disgusting lips. “Come here darling…come sit on your husband’s lap.”

Denae entangled her hands in front of her, rooted in her place by the door. “N-No…I don’t…I don’t want that.”

“I see…gentleness has never worked on you…I forgot that you were a masochist…just like your mother.”

Denae looked up at him, the tears gathered in her eyes finally spilling. She knew what he was going to say next, he had said it so many times…and it was more painful every single time. “Please don’t…”

“Don’t what? Don’t tell you how I held your father’s face up after crippling all his limbs just so he could watch my men f*cking into his crying mate over and over again? She responded just like you, she was still trashing around and crying even after the fifth c*ck entered he~”

“Stop…Stop it p-please…”

“Then must I ask you again to come sit in your husband’s lap?”

Denae slowly moved closer to him, her heart trembling in fear and scourged by pain. She sat down on the very edge of his lap, back turned to him. “Face me, darling…I want to see that look of resentment on your beautiful face.”

Denae hesitated, but slowly twisted around on his lap, her eyes regarding him with the resent he was familiar with. He smiled as though he was happy to see the raw hate in her eyes. “Take off your dress.”

“N-No…No…I don’t want this, I never wanted this.”

“What you wanted has never been important…because you’re weak Denae, only the strong can get what they want and that’s why I attained you…because I am strong. So, take off your little dress before I tear it apart.”

Denae shook her head. “I do~no…you-you’re the weak one…you attacked when we were unprepared and y-you…you took lives that never threatened yours.”

The man chuckled darkly, his expression changing too quickly to be real. “You never listen darling, and that’s why I always have to apologize after making love to you.” In swift movements, he had her beneath him on the bed, his eyes growing darker as he ripped her dress in half…exposing everything she wanted to hide. “I’ll give it to you just how you like it; rough and forceful…I tend to enjoy it that way as well.”

Zaid looked up at his tormentors then at the food on the floor, trying his best not to glare, not to lash out. They’d only provoke him more if he did. “What? Are you not hungry enough to eat it?” The group of men chuckled, all seeming to enjoy his downfall a lot more than they should. “It’s rice…it’s a little too expensive to go to waste especially by someone like you. Pick it up! Eat it!” Zaid clenched his jaw, defiantly shaking his head. “No.” “Did you hear that? This piece of sh*t said no! Hey you…!” A kick landed against his side. “You still don’t know your f*cking place, do you? You do what I tell you to, no questions asked. Clean the f*cking rice off my floor with that tongue of yours.” “No.” “No? Did you say no again?! Did you say no again you little sh*t?!” He grabbed Zaid by the collar, forcing him to look at him. “You still don’t understand, do you? You’re not an alpha anymore. Your status is now lower than that of an omega. Since you aren’t learning, let me demonstr

Denae stood in deep panic until she could finally see them. Her expectations were all destroyed, her fear and her doubt all disappearing when she noticed that it was Draco who was hauling Jerald towards where she stood and a warrior hauling Zaid. All four of them was a bloody mess…naked as though they all had fought in their wolf form despite all the weapon they had in their possession. Had the war been that intense? Did Draco get hurt too?On her legs that quivered immensely she walked towards him, meeting him half-way. “U-Uncle what…are y~?”Draco threw Jerald on his knees in front of her and threw his sword too. “Pick it up, child.”Denae looked down at the bloody sword and then at her uncle. “What are y~?”“You wanted to fight, didn’t you? You wanted to kill him yourself, so I’m giving you the chance to. Pick up the sword.”“I…I…” Denae’s lips trembled as she picked up the bloody sword, holding it in hands that trembled just the same. It was true, the only reason why she wanted to

Denae was dragged to the back as the war began, Jake hauling her away from the scene just like he had been told to. “Come on…hurry.”Denae pulled her hand out of his. “No, you shouldn’t have brought me along when you knew that I wanted to fight too. I will not just run away, even if I’m scared.”She quickly reached for the sword etched into the baldric over his shoulder, pulling it out before he could stop her. “My legs are shaking, but I will kill Jerald if that is the last thing I do.”Jake’s eyes widened as he tried to grab her hand again. “You promised Denae…you said that you’d listen to me if I begged your uncle to take you.”“And you believed?”Denae was sorry for deceiving him, but she had no other choice. Draco had pledged not to take her, so she had to ask Jake for help. She couldn’t just not come, this fight started because of her, she had to be present. She’d made Jerald a promise, how could she live on without fulfilling it?She’d kill him…the amount of vengeance in her he

Zaid sat up in bed, lifting his shirt to look at the healed wound against his side. He still couldn’t believe it, that woman who loved him too much to refuse him even when he was blatantly being unreasonable had stabbed him with the intention to kill.Since then, he barely ever slept, and he could not fathom why…the fact that she wasn’t around anymore gave his mind no rest or peace and the matebond was like a storm within him; wrecking him inside out…all for her.His wolf too has been acting out…that beastly side of him that acted on instincts seemed to be blaming him; it keeps howling in longing and clawing at the cage that bounded it with persistence, agony and desperation. It wanted to be set free, to take control…to become feral.Zaid had heard it before…a man who lost his mate could possibly lose himself. Was that what was happening to him? Was he losing himself because of that woman who’d slept with his father numerous times? Was he losing it because of that woman who made him f

  • Mated To The Alpha's Son: A Stepmother's Sin   CHAPTER 25~ AN EXPLANATION

Denae was placed in the room across from Jake’s and she was now staying there for a week. Her uncle barely spoke to her, or rather he barely spoke to anyone. He kept himself at a distance that was too far to reach.Denae wanted to ask him why he wasn’t close to her dad, but every time he saw her, his glaring eyes would tell her not to approach. But even so, he’d promised to help her, in fact for the past week, he’s been training his men and compiling weapons to fight. Jake trained too, and even though Denae was advised not to, she trained as well. She didn’t care if omegas weren’t made to battle, for all Jerald had done to her, she’d be the one to kill him and if Zaid was still alive, she’d be the one to kill him too. She’d spare no one, for Jerald hadn’t thought of doing so when he had attacked her pack. Picking up the heavy sword at her feet, she walked back onto the field, over to where the dummies were. She hadn’t gotten used to the weapon as yet, but she was working on it.Day an

  • Mated To The Alpha's Son: A Stepmother's Sin   CHAPTER 24~ I WANT YOUR HELP

Before now, Denae had thought entering an unfamiliar pack was no big deal, but as she stood at the borders as a rogue, the possibility of being attacked had fear growing in her heart.“You ready?” Jake asked her.Denae shook her head, biting her lips. “Not at all…”“Well, I am…” He grabbed her hand, hauling her across the borders against her will. During the two weeks they’d spent together, they had gotten a lot closer. Despite their situation, they’d joke around and laugh, something that Denae did not do often. Having someone to talk to or rather having a friend was more convenient than Denae ever thought it could be. It was nice, especially since she knew that she could rely on him, but not at this moment. “Jake you litt~let me go, I’m turning back.”“It’s too late, do you hear that? Someone just yelled something about rogues…they aren’t far, it’s probably the patrollers.”“B-But Jake…!”A shiver wracked down Denae’s spine when the scent of unknown wolves clogged her nostrils, and t
