Chloe’s POV

After I came back to the refugee, I once again changed my clothes and sat on the bed looking at the castle at the far end.

I can’t think of anything else other than Marcus. He did something unexpected and my heart is still racing to remind his smile.

“Do you like him?” Jina asks softly after screaming for the whole day. She’s so calm now, it’s because of Marcus. She’s so happy that they have a gentle wolf as a mate.

“I don’t know, but he’s a good person,” I answered.

“Yes,”

“Aren’t you happy?”

“Yes but not until he keeps up his word,”

“You’re so cunning,”

“I had to be,”

That time, Lily came inside the room carrying a bowl full of cupcakes.

“Do you want some?”

“Yeah,”

“Where have you been? I was searching for you,” Lily asks.

“I told you, I went for the training,”

“No, they say the training ended long back, after that where you went? I asked Mark and he said something happened there,”

“Yes, didn’t he tell you what that was?”

“No. He said I should ask you,”
