Fate

While looking around the great mansion, I suddenly saw a slightly open room. I had no idea what was in it or who was inside, and I felt curious. It wouldn't be a bad thing to take a peak. Who knows, Fred might be in there.

Just as I got close to the door, I suddenly heard a muffling sound, but it was incoherent, so I decided to walk closer to the door and place my ears closer to the door knob, so I could hear properly.

“Looking for Fred, perhaps?” The sudden sound of a man's voice immediately hit me startled, and I jolted away from the door. I slowly turned around, and to my greatest surprise, it was Fred's brother, Cedric. My heart skipped instantly because I wasn't expecting to see him.

“Uhm, yea, I was… looking for Fred. Thought he would be up here,” I said quickly, so I wouldn't give myself away.

“Oh, Fred is on an errand, I'm sure he'll join you shortly,” Cedric uttered with a smile.
