Chapter 83

Sapphire shot Gabriel an annoyed look, growing increasingly irritated with his presence. She glared at him, thinking he should mind his own business and stop trailing after her.

Closing her door behind her, she crossed her arms in frustration.

However, Gabriel responded with a smile, as if he found everything amusing. What was so entertaining to him? He was a bad person, and yet he wore that smile on his face.

"You're a despicable person," Sapphire stated.

"Yes, just like you," he shrugged, his smile unwavering.

"Then why do you smile?" she questioned.

"Why not? It relieves my stress, and I prefer to live with a smile," he explained.

"It doesn't work on me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like for you to mind your own business and stay out of mine," she asserted, returning to the subject at hand.

Gabriel sighed. "Drake has led you down a treacherous path, and deep down, you know it. It's just a matter of how far you're willing to go for revenge," he remarked.
