Killian POV"I received a letter," Aria told me before she got off my lap. She brought out a letter and handed it to me and as I read through it, my blood boiled with anger. That bastard had the nerve to send someone to give her a threat like this even after daring to threaten us. I gritted my teeth as I felt my blood rising up and I'm sure I must be red as a tomato. I could see Aria searching my face as I read through the stupid threatening note he sent her. It was written with blood and was signed with M like the other letters he had sent. I want to tear him up into pieces, make him beg for his life, and regret the time he ever had the idea to send this to my mate. He had some nerve that I never could stand, I hated him more ever since I found Aria under his care and how he treated her less than a human being. I wanted to rip him into pieces then but I controlled myself, he's pushing me towards the edge and I'm not sure this time I'll have as much self-control. I wanted to growl
Aria's POVI was so glad Killian comforted me despite my unreasonable outburst. His silence scared me and knots formed in my stomach for the excruciating minutes he didn't respond and looked away.I thought he was scared of what Alpha Matthias could do to his pack, after all, Alpha Matthias did kill my father. Alpha Matthias could do some damage to his pack and I wondered if that was what he was considering, if I was worth suffering those damages for.Now I feel stupid for begging him by offering up my body but then that was all I hoped for, that he could accept it even though it wasn't a great deal.Killian hugged me tightly in his arms and gave me soft pecks on my lips as he reassured me that he and Darius had no intention of doing such a thing."Aria, I'll never send you to such a despicable man, why would I ever send you away when you're my mate and you should be with me," he said softly, close to my ears.I nodded on his chest as I felt his hot breath tingling my skin."You promis
Killian POV:As Aria stormed out of the office, I pressed a brown button under my desk and 50 seconds later, two guards barged in."Sir!" They saluted then bowed but I was in a hurry to care about greetings."Follow the Luna, she must be heading towards the gate, make sure she doesn't leave this castle!" I ordered them and they rushed out.I went to the window in the room and I watched as Aria was dragged away by the two guards I sent after her. With the little time we've spent together, I know a thing or two about the way she thinks and I need her to be safe whether she likes the method or not.I hoped she could understand me but she's being too stubborn and doesn't want to be reasoned with so I had no other choice.I followed behind from a far distance and watched how she kicked back and forth to get herself freed from their grip.I too wanted to rip their hands off of her but I couldn't do that, that would just be unfair since I was the one who ordered them to do it, but I still fe
Killian POV:"Thank you." I mouthed with a relieved heart. Now I can rest assured that she's under good care. "You don't have to, you're the Alpha, and your words are my command." She squeezed my hands reassuringlySuddenly I heard someone clear his throat behind me, I turned to see a guard there."What is it?" I hissed and he shrieked before taking his stance again."The chief requests to see you in the training room." He responded and I excused myself from Stella's presence.I hurried to the training room, it was huge and spacious with different training and gym equipment. There's also a shooting range close by, I made sure they practice regularly and stay fit so I expect the absolute best from them. Not to mention I hired more security when Aria arrived so imagine my rage right now after all that money I spent on security, they couldn't even protect Aria from an imposter."Maxwell," Once I reached the training room, I called out to him. Two bodyguards were by my side and walked
Killian POV"Don't make me ask again, spit it out." I felt my claws growing out.*****I buried my head in my palms and let out a sigh of frustration.I had just finished talking with Maxwell and there has been no progress in the investigation. It turned out that Julia really wasn't the one who implanted the letter in Aria's room. Her parents had been conning some wealthy wolves from another pack and they shot them once they found out and took back all their money leaving them penniless. She had to find a way to treat them fast before they bleed to death and was approached by an old wolf in the pack, she agreed with the wolf to reject her mate if he paid for their treatment. She's trying to work back the money and pay him back so she doesn't reject him.I can't let such a thing happen in my pack, I have to find a way to punish her parents and save her from the life they are making her live.Everything was just overwhelming, I still don't have leads and yet I need to resolve something
Aria's POVA knock came at the door and Stella went out to see what they wanted. Seconds later, she's back at my side and smiles sweetly."Alpha Killian wants my presence." At the mention of his name, my heart skipped at best and I got excited for no reason just hearing his name. I contained myself before I started smiling like a fool, I wasn't even the one being summoned."Alright, you may go." I sighed and then waved her away. I buried my face on the pillow in my hand. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, my wolf was definitely not happy with me either for acting the way I did three days ago. She blames me for making Killian think I'm mad at him and for putting us through this heartache for no reason. To be honest, I regret overreacting and trying to leave the castle like that but I had to let him know that I didn't like the idea."Luna Aria, why are you doing this to yourself?" Stella asked and I lifted my head up from the pillow to look at her with a raised brow."What is that?" I ask
Aria POV"I missed you." He said under his breath then he pressed his lips into mine. I flinched because I wasn't expecting that but I let him take control. The alcohol on him filled my nostrils but I ignored the smell and kissed him back. Our tongues fought together for some time until I gave up to him and let him take control. Even when he's drunk, he still wants the upper hand. I smiled in between his lips and he cupped my face, his hands trailed to the lower part of my hair and held it tight. I was too tight and I whined in pain, he softened his grip and pulled away from the kiss."I missed your body." He said under his breath, his face was just inches away and his hot breath was fanning my face. His lips tasted like alcohol and chocolate, and it was wet with my saliva. It glowed under the limited light entering the room. His words sent electricity through my body and a blush crept up my face. I was missing his body too and I wanted him so badly. My wolf was so excited because o
KILLIAN POV I found Darius walking out of the garden as I approached him. He was dressed up, wearing a blue shirt that hugged his abs and skinny jeans. He was grinning from ear to ear when I saw him, his smile vanished once he saw me as well. "Look, I know what you said before but I don't think Aria wants any more space. She should have forgiven you by now." Darius began talking immediately when he saw my displeased look. "I know." I simply said, I, myself, didn't feel any emotions in my voice. "You're the one who…" he began without listening to me properly then stopped halfway, "Wait, have you seen her? And she's no longer mad?" He asked, I could hear the happiness in his voice, it's too bad I'm about to ruin it with shocking news. "Darius, we have something bigger in our hands." I let out a sigh before I continued, "I've found out who delivered that letter to Aria," Darius's face lit up once he heard those words, he opened his mouth to speak but I wasn't done, I talked over him,
