Ava's POV

When I slowly opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was the ceiling, which appeared a bit blurry. Confusion washed over me, and I turned my head to the side, only to find my aunt sitting nearby.

"Welcome back. But for now, just relax, because you have a lot of explaining to do," she said before leaving the room, her voice and expression filled with anger.

I tried to piece together my memories, but my head throbbed, making it difficult to recall the last events before everything went dark.

"I was trying to escape... I remember trying to shape-shift, and then..." I started to explain, sitting up with my back against the wall.

The door suddenly swung open, and the doctor walked in—the same one who had been monitoring me without my consent.

"Don't be too hard on yourself, and don't strain your mind trying to remember. It's important for your mental well-being," he reassured me as he approached, holding medical instruments.

"Can you tell me how I ended up here? Do you have any idea who called my aunt?" I asked, my voice unsteady. The doctor, in response, looked me over before using a stethoscope to check my heartbeat.

"A good Samaritan brought you in very late last night. He claimed not to know you, but we used your cellphone to contact someone familiar," he explained. I opened my mouth to respond, but he gestured for me to lie down before continuing.

I sighed, realizing that my phone didn't have a password, making it easy for them to access. "Aunt Janet is going to kill me," I muttered under my breath as tears welled up in my eyes. Meeting Horland had felt like a dream, especially after he rejected me. Right now, I regretted coming back to Lyconia.

"The best thing you can do now is to get some rest and not overthink things. Your aunt will come around," the doctor tried to console me.

"You don't get it, do you?" I choked out, my voice cracking. "I ran away from home, to somewhere far, far away, and now I'm back in this mess. How do you expect me to cope, doc? How?" My voice grew louder before I lowered it to a whisper, tears spilling down my face.

"I know you're feeling overwhelmed," the doctor said calmly. "I don’t know what you've been through, but I’m telling you that you need to take it easy. That’s the only way you’ll be okay. You’ll be discharged by evening. For now, rest while I speak to your aunt."

Still tearful, I asked, "You mean Aunt Janet is still here? I... I thought she had left."

"Her medication will take time to work, and you'll need to provide funds for her treatment," the doctor explained. "She's asleep now, but she’ll be discharged this evening. Make sure she rests and doesn’t worry too much."

He left the room, and I was left with the weight of my thoughts.

Later, as Aunt Janet spoke with the doctor, I heard her sigh with relief. "I'm thankful she's not pregnant," she said. I bit my lip, my heart sinking. I knew she was worried about me, but it didn't make the situation any easier.

"Thank you, Doctor," Aunt Janet replied. "We'll make sure she gets the rest and care she needs."

The doctor handed her my discharge papers. "You're welcome. I hope Ava recovers soon. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. Take care."

Aunt Janet thanked him again and came to my room to take me home.

The car ride was painfully silent. I stared at my chicken stew, unable to enjoy it as guilt and anxiety gnawed at me. Aunt Janet avoided eye contact, and I couldn’t help but feel like I had let her down.

When we finally arrived home, I broke the silence. "Aunt Janet, I’m really sorry for everything. I shouldn’t have run away. I’ll make it up to you."

She glanced at me, a flicker of disappointment in her eyes. "Ava, we’ll talk about it later. Right now, you need to rest and recover. We’ll sort everything out."

I nodded, realizing she was still upset but willing to give me a chance.

"You can go into your room. I’ll be back soon," was all she said before walking away.

Later, a knock landed on the door. I rushed to open it, and there stood Aunt Janet, her face hard with resolve.

"I won’t allow you to leave again without my consent," she barked. Before I could react, she shackled me with a thick chain laced with wolfsbane—strong enough to hold me even on a full moon.

"Aunt, why are you doing this? I’m sorry," I pleaded, my heart pounding. But my words fell on deaf ears.

"I’ve trusted you enough, and I won’t let you end up like your parents," she snapped. "Talking to you is pointless. You’ll stay here until I know you’re ready to change. You’ll resume your therapy sessions!"

With that, she stormed off, leaving me chained to the wall, helpless and overwhelmed with despair.

Fierce and demanding. My father relaxed back into his chair, watching Alpha Mason’s soldiers take me.But well, I didn’t study martial arts for fun. I was quick to take the two men down.“I’m not going to step a foot out of this palace! And I mean it!” I cried out, panting heavily.I might not have a wolf, but surely I fight like one.I had trained myself so much, thinking I’d be the next Luna of this pack. And she doesn’t even love anything, swords, or martial arts.“You can’t take a lady on, you fools!” I heard the Alpha snap.Turning towards Penny in anger, and still panting from the beating I had given to some of the soldiers who came at me, I flared up.“If you think I’m anything like my mother, I’ll show you that I’m nothing like her!” I barked.“And I’ll be back for my rightful place. Till then-” I pa

Grindley’s POV The next day came faster than expected. And yes, of course, I'm the master planner of everything. I determine the way things should go. After all, I'm the Alpha. And if it is Nora, I know how selfish she can be sometimes. Telling her to allow our son to take Eva as a mate wasn't something that seemed possible. Even with my Alpha abilities. So the best part was pulling the stunt of offering to make Eva my mistress. And that means one thing–if Eva gets pregnant and gives birth, then Noah will have a rival. And that wasn't a chance Nora was planning to take. As we sat on the throne, both of us with our hands entwined in each other's. We waited for Noah's arrival. And no sooner had we spoken of him than the guards announced his presence. “Father, you called for me,” he paused, looking from his mother to me. “Mother…” Nora, on the other end, heaved a sigh as she locked her eyes on mine for a split second. “Your father and I have concluded. You'll only be the nex

Lena’s POVI’ve been indoors for what seems like days. Not being able to see the light of day.Maybe it was a mistake coming back. I could have stayed when he asked me to. He had told me he would fight for me, even if it meant going against his father. And that was it. I can’t have him do that just because of me. Even though I knew he had a beef against his father, I’m not going to be a part of treason.Tears laced in my eyes as I cried out in agony. The tears soon started to fall on my cheeks like a raindrop. “Moon goddess, please help me. Just like you helped my mother, and the ones before her.” I didn’t realise I had slept off, not until I heard the door creak open, causing me to quickly rise to my feet. Fear coursing through me.“Penny…Penny, please talk to my father.” I cried, holding on to her hand as I watched the maids walk in. Each of them carries a basket full of clothes and jewelry.“You might need to get into those soon.” Penny smiled at me for the first time in years.

Grindley’s POV“And what if I say no to this…this whole thing?” Noah flared, his eyeballs almost turning white. His wolf growled beneath his skin as he clenched his fist right in front of me.There’s something about his eyes that scares me. Something that always tells me he's just not for me. But how can I be so sure when his mother has always defended him blindly? And most of the time, when I question his authenticity, his mother has always refused to accept such words. I smirked wickedly because I knew what I was capable of doing. Something he wouldn’t believe or reason as my son, and the only heir to the throne. “You don’t want to know what I’ll do to you if you disobey me, son.” I smiled, accompanied by my slamming my fist against the table.“What would you do, father?” he said, standing in front of me like he wanted to dare me. It was obvious that he was ready to go head-on with me. And I wasn’t just having this. What’s going on inside that thick skull of his?“Since when ha

Grindley's POV“Oh yeah,” I moaned softly as I hit her from behind.Nora had left for a hunting evening, and Eva had decided to stay back. Lying that she has been having stomach trouble.Well, since I was also aware that Lena and my son, Noah, were also out of the pack house, it was easy for me and Eva to hook up again.“Fuck me harder, please.” She cried with ecstasy as she dug her nails into my back.“Right there,” she added, panting faster as I gagged her throat and hit her core. Our breath was unstable as the waters, as we both inhaled and exhaled badly.“I wanna cum.” She said softly against my ear. Socking my earlobes as I rubbed her clits harder. Withdrawing from her quickly.I spun her around, allowing her ass to face me while I spanked it from behind.“Damn it!” She whimpered, as I bent her head while allowing her ass to shoot out steadily.“No one cums until I say so,” I whispered into her ears while she smiled sheepishly.“Yes, Daddy,”I spanked her again, this time around l
