Chapter 78.

Each Purpose.

It had been five months since the Patrons were captured, but things in all the packs in the world were silent. Everyone was scared about the Predator. First of all, they didn't consider the immense power he would have if he turned the Patrons to look in his favor.

But, that hadn't happened. The Predator was almost like a normal werewolf. There was no mass havoc or the likes, he even kept to his part of the bargain by helping them out in their packs, so much that pack members in all the pack had begun looking up to him— like he was their savior. Some packs had an erected statue for him— done by the pack members of course, and this greatly angered the pack Alphas. There was a mix of harmony and tension in the packs.

The Alphas were thinking of when Daemon would change and strike out at them…

Things were also silent in the pack that Daemon and Lilian resided. Alpha Nowel had moved them from the pack house to a large house, built by the pack members. They even ha

  • Mated To The Predator    Two Hearts

Chapter 84Two Hearts.“Where have you been, Lilian? Where is your father?” Daemon sat on the porch of the house in the early hours of the morning staring hard at Lilian, who was coming back home— absentmindedly. She looked disturbed as she trudged towards the house. Daemon frowned as he saw her demeanor and carefully lifted himself off the floor.“Lilian…" He reached out to her and pulled her into him.He felt what she felt— Desolation. What happened? Why was she so detached from her immediate surroundings?“Are you okay?” He shook her slightly, jolting her back to reality.“Daemon, hey.” Her face was pale when she looked at him, “You're awake.”His eyes darkened instantly.“Where did you go? You made everyone worry…" This time, Wilder came into view, looking haggard and sleep-deprived.“I…" Words failed her.Lilian was getting little realizations one after the other, so much so that she felt like the weight of the world was on her shoulder. She was going to die too… Just like other

  • Mated To The Predator    My Daughter

Chapter 83.My Daughter.Lilian's mind was spiralling with a lot of things. Her? Pregnant? How could it be? When Daemon and she were wrapped in sheets, they never ventured into the main thing, even when she was hot and ready for everything. Daemon had always been careful.Or, was it… the first time? Her mind played out the scenes of the party from five months ago when they caught the Patrons.“Lilian, are you listening?” Zoey, her mother, called out to her. “Your skin is so cold, have you been out for a long time?” The warmth in her voice made her shiver as she pulled into her mother's embrace again.“Mom,” She whispered. Her mother hummed in response.“Will I die?” She whispered again, her voice intensely hollow as she fisted her mother's shirt loosely.Zoey gently pushed Lilian away from her. “What makes you think that? How could you die? The Patrons never intended for that to happen to you. You were just made to end the bloodline of Predators!” With a pause and a full scan over Li

  • Mated To The Predator    Another Form.

Chapter 82.Another Form. His shoes echoed loudly against the dungeon floor as he advanced deeper into the darkness, the burning torchlights at each side of the hall barely illuminated the vast darkness in front. It was good that he already knew his way around this place.“It's freezing down here.” Oliver shivered as she tightened the shawl around her body. “How are you able to stay down here for hours? Is this what you've been subjecting yourself to, Daemon?” She looked over worriedly at the tall man in front of her.“Anything to save Lilian.” Wilder said, walking behind Oliver with his hands deep inside his pocket.Oliver's expression darkened at the mention of Lilian's name.“Talking about her,” She started. “Everything Daemon is doing is for her, why isn't she also here? Why isn't she helping out to make things easier for him?”“Ask her the next time you see her.” Wilder replied nonchalantly. He knew that Daemon could hear their conversation, but he was too pissed to care. He was

  • Mated To The Predator    Reuniting

Chapter 81.Reuniting.It was late into the night when Lilian and her father set out to the small village in the pack. Their only source of light was that from the moon. Even as the night was still, it was cold, and the crickets could still be heard chirping. Lilian felt a storm of emotions within her as she walked alongside her father who had turned quiet and withdrawn to himself. After they were a safe distance from Lilian's house— at least no one would be able to pick up her voice nor her father's— she struck a conversation with him.“So…" She squeezed her palms tightly together nervously as she muttered. “What have you been doing since, um, Daemon's attack? After you got healed, I mean.”Her father walked straight ahead, his mind was set on only one thing— one person. He had barely heard Lilian's question, and Lilian felt that she was being ignored on purpose. She sighed bitterly at herself before she kept on talking.“You've never really liked me since I was born…" She said out l

  • Mated To The Predator    Convincing Father

Chapter 80Convincing Father. The cellar was cold and dimly lit as Lilian tiptoed barefooted into it. The bile rose to her throat when she saw him, a small sack covered over his face.“Father?” She whispered as she inched further, her fingers reaching the rough sack over his head, her heart pounding in wonder — would he remember her, or would he be just like her mother? She quickly slid the sack off his head, and her eyes were met with the cold and stern eyes of her father. Lilian could feel her nerves wracking. There were days that her father had scared her, almost every day actually. It was only on rare occasions that he smiled at her, or helped her with anything.“So…" He began, his eyes were drooping, and his lips were busted. “You finally got with the Predator, huh? You didn't fulfill your purpose anymore?” He snarled at her, making her jump in her bones.“He's my mate, dad.” Lilian whispered back. “I couldn't just kill him. Besides, it's a lot more complicated than that.”“Yeah…

  • Mated To The Predator    An Open Secret.

Chapter 79An Open Secret.Flashback.Three months ago.“What is it you're saying, Ayana?” Lilian stood at the edge of the pack border, leaning against a tree trunk, her eyes fixated on the woman in front of her.“You said she has lost her memories about you?” Ayana inquired as she made calculated steps along the lines of the borders, she still couldn't take a step into the pack.“Yes. Everything.” Lilian nodded. “It's as if I've never existed to her before.”Ayana took in a deep breath and nodded. “Are you sure she is not just faking it for you to leave? Maybe she just doesn't want to be connected to you anymore.”Of course, Lilian had thought about that. But, she was really certain that it wasn't the case with her mother. Her mother had truly not remembered her. Even when she visited consequently, she had watched for any reaction that would give her emotions away, but her mother just stared at her warily and enthralled at the same time. Enthralled that Lilian looked just like her, b
