Another Day

"Juliet?" I heard the exhausted voice of Talia through the concrete wall that was leaning my head on. I didn't feel like answering her. I kept replaying the entire scene in my head, running in the grass, pushing branches out of my face, smelling my pack. I was so close I could've sworn I smelt one of my mates. "Juliet, are you awake?"

"Yes, Talia, what is it?"

"Is this what you've been going through?" she asked. I wanted to scream. Of course, this is what I've been going through. Poking, prodding, gassing, you name it. I told her when she got locked up in here with me that I didn't run off to be with anyone else. My father, in all his infinite wisdom, sold me here, to La Chambre Blanche. Why would I ever run away from my mates when that's all I've ever wanted?

"Yes," I stated lazily as I rolled my eyes.

"How? How did you get out?" she questioned. I could hear the hopefulness in her voice, which led me to believe she was planning or was wanting to plan another escape.
