Chapter 7

Rylee's POV.

Elizabeth and I walked out of the elevator as it stopped in the lobby of this luxury hotel.

"Rylee, what happened, and how come you're wearing this beautiful, lovely dress?" Elizabeth asked me as she drew near me to inspect my dress properly.

Some she-wolves looked at me in shock.

"How did a lowly Omega like her afford this costly dress? It's sold for 1 million, and she is rocking it perfectly," I heard some of the jealous women muttering, and my eyes widened in shock.

"What?! 1 million? How come does this dress cost this much?" I gasped, asking Elizabeth, and she laughed.

"It made you look like royalty. Where did you get it from, and who gave it to you, because I know that you asked me to bring some clothes for you," Elizabeth muttered, and I sighed.

"Honestly, Eliza. I don't know what's going on. I only remember dragging the liquor bottle from your hands to get drunk last night. I cannot remember what happened to me. I don't know the man I slept with. But he dropped a check of 10 million on the drawer, together with my phone. That's the only thing I saw, and this morning, two women came in and said that their boss ordered for me to have these dresses. They were not happy to serve an Omega like me, and when they contacted their boss, I heard him mention that Beta Fabian ordered him to deliver these dresses and underwears to me."

"What?!" Elizabeth gasped in shock as we stood at the bus station, waiting for a bus to arrive and take us home.

The sun shone brightly on me, and I saw many women looking at me with jealousy.

"You mean, Beta Fabian sent you these beautiful dresses? Are you his mate?"

"No way! What a ridiculous joke. He doesn't like me, and I don't like him either. I pray he is not the man that I mated with last night," I told Elizabeth, and I saw a cab pull up.

"You don't know who you slept with, and you're saying it's not Beta Fabian. Then who?" Elizabeth demanded, and I sighed as the cab driver rolled down his side screen and looked at us.

"Hey, pretty ladies. Where are you going?" He asked, smiling at me in particular.

Elizabeth looked at him and replied, "We are going to the peaceful estate. Are you going there?"

"Sure, hop in," the driver replied, but I didn't like the way he was gawking at me.

"Eliza, let's wait for another cab to get here. I do not like him," I stopped my best friend who was about to pull the cab door open.

"Come on, Rylee. The sun is too much, and we should get home so that you can rest well," Elizabeth said, and I sighed.

"Alright." I accompanied her, and we got into the cab together. I saw the man continued to look at us instead of focusing on the road.

However, he took another turn that didn't lead to the estate area where Elizabeth and I lived on rentals.

"Hey, where are you going?" I asked, seen the cab driver take another turn, and my heart started to race.

"Calm down, ladies. I do not mean any harm, but someone hired me to bring you girls," he grinned, and I growled, "Who are you? Let us go."

"Relax. I am working for Beta James Harvey, and he ordered for me to bring you to the pack house," the cab driver replied, and my eyes widened in shock.

"What?! If this is a joke, please stop it. I will pay you off. Let us go!" I begged, and Elizabeth chirped in, "Let us go, please. We have no business with the elite families."

Elizabeth and I were scared, as we were both from poor homes. However, her parents survived the rogue attacks before the pack warriors came to help on the battlefield, but mine didn't.

"Don't be silly. How can you girls say that you do not have any business with the elite families? Well, wait until you get to the pack house to know that," the man mocked with a sinister grin in his eyes.

"Oh no! He must have mistaken us for rich babes after seeing me wearing this dress. I'm sorry, Eliza. I don't mean to put you in danger," I told my best friend, and she nodded.

"Call Nash and tell him. We cannot allow him to kidnap us, and we cannot trust his judgment," Elizabeth told me, and I immediately pulled out my phone and contacted Nash while the driver drove speedily to the pack house.

"Nash is not picking up," I told Elizabeth, and she said, "Try again."

I called Nash again as the driver drove speedily in this part of the pack that was very developed and busy. The road was smooth like an expressway, with no potholes or bumps. The cab driver smiled and said, "I am not kidnapping you two. But Miss Bella Harvey had given me instructions to bring you under her father's authority. Just pray that you didn't offend the young woman."

"What?!" Elizabeth's and my eyes widened in shock.

"That bìtch. She snatched Nash away from me, and she had the audacity to report me to her family," I yelled, and the driver warned, "Don't speak of young Miss Bella Harvey like that. Except you will be punished."

"Screw you, driver! To hell with you and your young miss. How would you feel if someone snatched your girlfriend and mated with her?" I asked him with a loud voice, and he replied, "Well, you know the laws of fated mates in the Dark Shadow Moon Pack. A mate is not allowed to cheat on his mate or reject his mate. If not, they would be punished by the Alpha. Only the unmated mates are allowed to flirt and cheat. So you offend the Beta's family by befriending a mated man."

"Shut up!" I yelled at the cab driver, even though he was older than me. "To hell with the pack rules. Where was Bella Harvey when I was washing the packs' hotel toilet and sponsoring my boyfriend? Why didn't her father help his former mate? Why would the moon goddess even mate Nash to Bella, his mother's rejected ex-mate's daughter?"

The cab driver was silent, and I had no idea that Nash had answered my phone call.

"Calm down, Rylee. You're going to lose your mind if you keep getting annoyed. Do you want to turn feral? Please, calm..." Elizabeth pulled me into a hug in the back seat of the cab as we didn't even make use of the seatbelt.

"Tell me, Elizabeth. Do I deserve this punishment from the moon goddess? I love Nash, and yet, he was taken away from me and gifted to another woman," I cried in Elizabeth's arms, and she said with a soft voice, "It's okay. Call Nash and let him know that we're kidnapped and taken to the Pack's house."

"Alright," I shifted away from Elizabeth to take my seat properly in the back seat of the car. I wiped my tears and saw that the call had already been connected.

"Hello, Nash. Can you hear me?" I asked him, my voice broken as I trembled. I was a broken woman, and my heart ached, making me weak.

"Yes, Rylee. What's going on? I heard Elizabeth said that you both are kidnapped? By who?" Nash asked, and I saw the driver drove into the pack house, just as the magnificent black gate with a mighty wolf head pulled open.

"We are taken to the pack house. It seems your engaged mate already reported me to her father? Now he summoned a driver to get us. Please come and explain to them that you and I are over and we have no relationship again," I told Nash and ended the call immediately, just as the car's tires screeched to a halt.

"We have arrived. Get out of the car, ladies," the driver grinned.
