Sean’s POV
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Ivy’s voice was not only sexy, but she was hot too. But her pretty face and sexy body was not what floored me.
She was my fated mate.
As I got closer to the prom venue, I could feel a strong attraction. When I got out of my car, all my senses focused on her, singling her out as the source of the attraction.
I wanted her all to myself, but I could not just take her away. She did not seem to recognise me as her mate, so I could not rush things. I had promised to be her prom date. So, before I broke the big news to her, I’d give her the best prom date ever.
There was one problem, though. A noisy bitch had waylaid us and was talking nonsense about my mate. I recognised her. She was the insufferable daughter of Twilight Pack’s Beta.
“Who the fuck are you?” I growled, pretending to not know her. She liked to be the centre of attention, so let’s take her down a notch.
She blinked and gaped for a moment before quickly collecting herself. Throwing her long black hair behind her shoulder, she said, “It’s me, Demi. I’m the daughter of the Twilight Beta.”
“I don’t care who you are,” I told her. “Nobody is allowed to talk badly about my date. Apologise right now.”
Dax cheered me on. He was elated to find our mate, and he too had no patience for our mate’s bullies. Recalling Ivy’s words from last night made me even more protective. Last night, I didn't care much. She had been just a random girl being isolated by her peers. But now, she was my mate. Anyone who made her life in school hard was my enemy, and I would make them know they messed with the wrong girl.
Demi crossed her arms over her chest and scoffed. “Apologise? I would never apologise to scum like her. She does not deserve to be in the same room with wolves like us, how can you be her date? Does your father know about this?”
“He’ll know about it when I kick your ugly ass across the ballroom,” I threatened. “Keep up with this act and I’ll have you kicked out.”
She was only a Beta’s daughter, but even if her father was the Twilight Alpha, I would not be afraid of her.
Her face flushed red. Her eyes moved from me to Ivy. I gave Ivy’s waist a squeeze, reassuring her. As long as I was here, no one could bully her.
“You can’t kick me out of my own party,” Demi said.
“Try me,” I challenged her.
Her lips trembled as she seethed in anger. She knew well enough that not only would I throw her out, but the party would go on like she never left. Everybody might have followed her like lost sheep before, but not anymore. No one would dare follow her out in my presence.
“If you don’t leave Ivy alone, I’ll make your life a living hell,” I promised her. I looked around, making my warning clear to everybody listening. “Ivy is with me. Anyone who bullies her will answer to me.”
They scattered like cowards, much to Demi’s chagrin.
I steered Ivy past her and towards the dance floor.
“Thank you,” she told me, looking at me with big brown eyes. “She made my life in school hell. She was the reason no one wanted to go to prom with me.”
I came to a stop and faced her. “Forget about her. Tonight, it’s just you and me.”
“Thank you for coming,” she told me. “You don’t know me, and yet you stood up for me. I owe you one.”
Well, I was looking forward to getting to know her better. Taking her hand, I held her against me. “Let’s dance.”
She placed her free hand on my arm as we swayed to the music. I tilted my head low so I could breathe in her sweet scent. Dax had been right about one thing–none of the other women could compare to my fated mate.
My senses were attuned to everything about her and every movement she made. Her scent, when I breathed it in, seeped into my veins and under my skin. Even through my coat, I could feel her hot touch. My dick was hard as diamond, and it wasn’t going to soften any time soon.
As she moved with me, throwing me small smiles, I imagined how she’d move on the bed when I took her. I imagined her curly hair sprayed out on my pillow, her creamy skin flush against my white sheets. I would look into her eyes while I buried my dick deep inside her, and she’d moan my name with that sweet voice of hers, her hands clinging to my back.
“Sean?” her sweet voice called tentatively.
“Yes?”
“What are you thinking about?”
I must have zoned out while thinking about all the things I wanted to do to her later. I stepped closer to her, brushing our bodies together. I lowered my head and caught her sharp breath intake when she felt my hardness against her stomach. In her ear, I whispered, “I’m blown away by your beauty. How did I get so lucky to get a date like you?”
I pulled back to look her in the face. Her lips were parted, and god, all I could think of was the head of my cock pushing past her pink lips.
“I…you…” she stuttered, looking thoroughly flustered. Despite that, she did not pull back from me. That’s when I became sure that the night would end with some hot sex between us. “I’m the lucky one.”
Ah, so sweet and innocent. I lifted my hand and brushed my knuckles on her cheeks. “I’m glad those boys were total idiots to not see the diamond shining right in front of them. If you were mine, I’d never let you go.”
She was mine, and I was never letting her go. She just didn’t know it yet.
Her face got even redder, and her fingers around my arm flexed. The sweet sense of her arousal lifted to my nose. My dick throbbed in my pants.
“Will you come somewhere with me after this?” I asked her. “I would love to spend more time with you, just the two of us.”
More like I’d like to fuck your brains out all night, but there was no need scare her off. At this point though, with my erection poking into her belly, it was no mystery what I wanted to do when we were finally alone.
“Yes,” she told me. “I’d love to spend more time with you too.”
After fulfilling my task of being her prom date and ensuring she had a great time, we left the ballroom. We got into my car, and I drove towards my hotel.
“So,” she began tentatively a minute later.
“What is it?” I asked softly.
“You heard what Demi said. That I’m wolfless. It’s true. My wolf didn’t awaken when I turned sixteen, and she still isn’t here now that I’ve turned eighteen. I don’t know when or if I’ll get her,” she revealed.
“I don’t care about that,” I told her. Whether she had her wolf or not, she was my mate, and I wanted her. “Don’t worry about it. You are a werewolf, so your wolf will awaken when she is ready.”
‘If her wolf hasn’t awakened, she doesn’t know you are her mate,’ Dax pointed out.
‘It doesn’t matter,’ I replied to him. ‘Whether she recognises me or not, when I tell her after giving her the best orgasm of her life, she’ll be thrilled.’
I had waited long enough. She was here tonight, and I was going to claim her as mine before the end of the night.
Narrator’s POVYears after gradually assuming most leadership responsibilities from his father, the day had finally come for Sean to be officially confirmed as Alpha. While he had been managing the pack's daily affairs, his father remained the official Alpha with ultimate authority in the council. After the ceremony, Sean and Ivy would assume their roles as Alpha and Luna with full governing power.Kit was five-years old when the Alpha Inheritance Ceremony took place. The ceremony was being broadcast live, with werewolves from allied packs and human dignitaries in attendance. The Blu Pack's influence extended far beyond supernatural circles—the Harris family's business empire and political connections meant even human leaders and CEOs filled the audience. In the preparation suite, Ivy sat perfectly still while the makeup artist applied the finishing touches. The door swung open, and in the mirror's reflection, Ivy saw a familiar face that made her gasp."Zoe!" she exclaimed, instantly
Sean’s POVThe soft morning light filtered through the curtains as I watched Ivy sleep, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. Even exhausted from our wild rounds of sex last night, she looked peaceful, with her dark hair fanned across the pillow, her lips slightly parted. Damn, I'd missed this. Missed her.Dax stirred in my chest, equally reluctant to leave her warmth. These business trips were hell on both of us. No matter how many times I told myself it was temporary, that it was just until I dealt with the pending issues, every mile between us felt like a physical ache.So whenever I finally got home, we spent hours making up for lost time. And yet, the hunger I had for her never abated. It was never ending, gnawing at me even when I was close to her because I knew I couldn’t be around as long as I wanted.I pressed my lips to her forehead, catching the faint scent of vanilla and sex in her hair. She murmured something unintelligible but didn't wake. Good, I wanted her t
Ivy’s POVFour Years LaterWhen I opened my eyes groggy with sleep, I found myself staring right into Sean's. I blinked, confused and disoriented. He wasn't supposed to be here. Was I dreaming?"Happy birthday, babe," he told me in a low voice.I blinked again. No, it was not a dream. He was really here with me. Before I could fully process what was happening, he leaned down and kissed me. When he pulled back, I finally strung my thoughts together."What...how...last night you said you couldn't make it.""It's your birthday,” he said. “How could I miss it?"I smiled. Ever since he became Alpha about a year ago, he'd become increasingly busy. He was in charge of both the family business and pack affairs, all of which demanded endless time and attention.Yesterday, he'd been on a business trip and told me he wouldn't make it back in time to celebrate my birthday together. It had dampened my spirits, but what could I do?When he took the Alpha position, I knew he'd be busy, I just hadn't
Ivy’s POVOne Year Later"Hey, are you okay?" Molly, one of my partners in our group assignment, asked.I shook my head. "I feel a bit off.""If you don't feel well, you can go home and rest,” she told me. “I'll send you the notes from today's meeting.""Really? Thanks. Tell the others I'll make up for my part next time.""No worries," she said.I grabbed my bag and walked out of the room. I'd been feeling nauseous since that morning, but I'd thought it would pass. Leaving the building, I got into my car. I still had a few classes that day, but I didn't feel like attending. Maybe I'd just get some pills at a nearby store and go sleep it off.It was during the drive to the store that the thought occurred to me: My period was late by a few days. I hadn't thought much about it before, but now... A wave of anxiety washed over me. Could I really be pregnant?I glanced at my phone, wondering whether to tell Sean. I shook my head. I could be wrong. I'd been swamped with schoolwork lately and
Sean's POVMy eyes didn't pull away from Ivy until she disappeared from my sight. A smile formed on my lips. It was finally happening. The day I'd been planning had arrived, and it was all worth it.I'd wanted to make this day as special for her as I could, and seeing the look in her eyes earlier, I think I'd done a good job.‘You have,’ Dax told me in a rare show of agreement.“Do you think she'll like the dress?” I asked him.‘She'll love it,’ he said with total conviction."You've really outdone yourself," Tan said, walking to my side."Yeah, you've definitely raised the bar for proposals,” Laphel commented. “How will the rest of us keep up?""She's worth it,” I said proudly."Did you hear that?” Laphel asked Tan, nudging him. “He's totally love-struck.”He wasn't wrong. For months, I'd been thinking about how to give Ivy the best proposal ever. I wanted to show how special she was to me, how much she meant to me. I wanted to make her as happy as she made me."Here she is," Tan whi
Ivy’s POVI flipped the card over and found more written on the other side. The story continued:The prince lived a carefree and reckless life, without a care in the world.
