ALARIC’S POV
As I came down the stairs Brianna's scent was faint and I figured she was off with one or both of my brothers again. I had to make a few phone calls from the office, but even her faint scent was making it hard to concentrate, and I soon gave up.
I thought when she started her rejection that it was what I wanted, that it was best for everyone, but it hurt worse than anything I could have imagined. I woke up to a very stiff Alaric as every part of me ached and I felt like I could hardly breathe again.
