I woke up feeling just as disoriented and unable to move, but for different reasons, I quickly realised, feeling my wrists and ankles bound to some kind of frame. I tried to open my eyes, and found them covered, and made myself completely still again, listening. I couldn't hear anyone, and with any luck, perhaps my captors hadn't noticed me wake.
