Twenty Eight

I felt Lisbet beginning to pull hard at the cuffs and chains then, trying to break them, and I began to wonder if she'd lost it. 'You heard them,' I said to her quietly, within our mind, 'They're solid iron, even a Lycan couldn't break them.' She didn't stop though, and I could feel the pain in our ankles and wrists as she continued, 'It's a good thing we're no ordinary Lycan, then,' she answered as she gave another hard yank on the wrist chains.

'Stop, Lisbet!' I cried out, feeling the sharp pain more with each one, and tried to take control back, but she fought hard to keep it. She snarled suddenly, and a different kind of pain filled our shared body, through every bone as she began to turn. A long few moments of agony followed, added to by the hard metal digging into our flesh as it morphed into our wolf - no, Lycan form.

That surprised me more than anything, as we turned into a huge, silvery-white furred beast, crouched in an upright position, and much larger than any wolf could
