CHAPTER SEVEN

TAYLOR’S POV

Honestly, with the way my engagement with Zephyr was made and the past we shared. You would expect everyone to be fuming and making plans on how to beat him up on my behalf. But the exact opposite was happening.

I shut my eyes for a moment, sucked in a breath and exhaled. I looked down aslt the guest list again. Father had invited everyone, literally. Mother was on the phone all morning bragging about it and my friends, the few I had left, were flaunting my engagement like it was their own. I was about to marry the devil himself and everyone seemed to think this is reason to be happy.

I threw the invitation list on the couch and grumbled my way to the kitchen. I held onto a mug of coffee and stared down on it with lazy eyes.
