Chapter 3

“What?” my head is really killing me right now and I can’t process whatever this man is saying.

“What’s your name?” I can sense the authority in his voice and I automatically replied.

“Amelia Hope Robertson.” I am struggling to talk now. I am palpitating badly and sweating so hard.

“I, Dimitri Sky Hemming, reject you, Amelia Hope Robertson as my mate.”

What the f***

I don’t know why but I am furious hearing him said that. I know it doesn’t make sense to me but the word reject had my blood boil to its highest point.

“Are you high?.. Oh gosh I told Trixie not to involve drugs tonight.”

I look at him with pure annoyance before speaking.

“Look Mr. Sky, as long as you will not cause trouble you can stay. But the moment I’ll hear otherwise, I’m gonna kick you out of my house. Understood?”

“What did you just say?” his anger evident in his voice. I won’t deny that I shiver hearing him talk. I just didn’t show it to him.

“Look, I am dying from my headache right now and your smell is just making it worst.” I scrunch my nose and instantly put my a hand on it.

It’s not that I don’t like his scent. It is just too overwhelming that it made my heart beats fast and it didn’t help with my aching head.

“Didn’t you just hear me? I rejected you as my mate.” Now I can see he is now beyond furious.

I really don’t have the strength to argue right now.

“Whatever.” I start to move forward aiming for my door but his hand is so fast. He grabs my arm stopping me from my track.

A jolt of tingling sensation I cannot understand shoots my entire body. The feeling is too strong that the next thing I knew, my world starts spinning and sounds became muffled.

I was then consumed with darkness, but not before a strong arm held me and I am pulled against his strong chest.

Dimitri’s POV

“Alpha, we need to hurry or else our pack… I mean our whole race will be put in so much danger. I’ll meet you at the boarders.”

Keifer, my Beta, mind linked me and I hurriedly put on my clothes after hearing the news.

It is already 11 in the evening and I was told that a feral wolf had gone to the human territory.

This is bad…. Very bad…

I automatically took my keys and step on the engine as I drove quickly to the boarders.

I can’t transform right now since I need to be fully clothes in my human form in entering the human territory.

It is no doubt that my pack is the strongest among the packs present in the country. With that comes the fact that I am also the strongest Alpha alive. And having those qualifications made me, and my pack responsible for maintaining our race invisible.

My pack is located at the Southern part of the wolf race territory which means that we are the closest pack to the human world.

Having this news might lead to catastrophe. If this will not be manage well, the whole wolf race will definitely see me as a weak alpha who cannot stand his duties and I can’t let that happen.

I need to find this feral wolf before sunrise.

“What’s the situation right now?” honestly, I wanted to yell about how a feral wolf had easily slip through our tight security but that is not the best choice right now.

I need to be calm in order to think straight.

Keifer maintained a calm expression too while explaining every detail to me. I trained my top soldiers to compose themselves even in a tight situation like this.

This made me proud as their alpha.

“Three of our best trackers had gone to the human territory an hour ago alpha. And just before you came, they had mind-linked me the address of where they are. I already deployed a team to be there.”

“That’s good to hear. We better be there too so I can assess the situation and if there are possible damages to be sort out.”

We drove for almost an hour before reaching the address.

It was a quite neighborhood situated in the far end of the city. This is actually the first sign of civilization from where our pack territory is located.

We had mind-linked our troop with our arrival and they had also reported that they had managed to take down the feral wolf.

They are on their way to our pack territory bringing along the dead wolf with them.

That’s a relief.

“So, are we also going back now?” my beta asked with a glint of excitement in his eyes.

I won’t deny though. I’m also a bit curious on what a normal life would be. Not like I consider ours as not normal. It’s just that… we’re different.

“Let’s make sure there are no damage cause before heading back.”

I mask my own excitement with a serious look and a business like tone.

“Yeah boy!” Keifer almost jump in happiness.

“Don’t be over-joyed there. We’re here to work.” I warned

“Ofcourse alpha.” He grinned

We walked through the neighborhood for an hour and see no sign of disturbance.

I think no one noticed that an actual wolf had just visited their place.

“I think everything is normal Keif. Let’s head home.”

“Oh come on man. This is literally my first and only chance to be in this kind of place. Can we just stay for a little bit?” Keifer whined like a baby who had just been forced to go home from a party.

“There is literally nothing to see here. Look.” I motioned to the quite street ahead of us.

“It’s already midnight and everybody here must be sleeping. So let’s just go.”

“Wait. Look..” he pointed at the far end of the street where a number of car was park and surely enough can see that there are people walking in and out of the house.

“I think there’s a party going on. Come on let’s check it out.” Keifer started to walk ahead and I can’t do anything but follow.
