As usual, words about what I did spread like wildfire throughout the university. I could hear rumors about me floating around from time to time, and they couldn't seem to take their gaze away from me whenever they saw me. Even Sadie was taken aback by what she had just witnessed for the first time. According to her, it was as if I had transformed into a completely different person. She never perceived me as someone who would fight back, and I don't think I do, either. I still don't know what has gotten into me, and I did that to them.
When the lunch break started, Sadie and I made the decision to spend our time in the vacant lot at the back of the university in order to keep our distance from everyone. TASHA What am I thinking? Why did I let him do that? I held on to my head, stressing myself out about what happened inside the infirmary. Nobody caught us in the act of kissing, but the main question that I've been pondering ever since I hit the right state of mind was, why did I let him do that? TASHA "You'll be partaking in a design contest alongside Rhio," my professor in Design and Decoration informed me when I got inside his office. I gander at the man situated before his work area and I saw that it was Rhio. "We needed a representative from our department and since the both of you have broader knowledge about various design styles, I have decided to pair you up with each other." I looked at Rhio and when his eyes met mine, I rolled my eyes at him. For an obscure explanation, he's making my head spin with rage. I couldn't help but question why he is being given preferential treatment even though he's a new student at our school. TASHA "Upon doing extensive research, I learned that Rhio was a reigning champion in an international design competition. That explains why they wanted him to participate in the contest even though he's a transferee," Sadie told me from the other line. "I'll send you a link." I went up to my bed before opening the link that she sent me. It was a photo of Rhio taken six months ago from another university. He was holding the championship trophy alongside his professor. "He's certainly an eye candy and the man of my fantasies," Sadie complimented him as if he was the most beautiful guy she has ever seen. I rolled my eyes. "You've been saying those same words with numerous guys on your list. A huge number of them turned out not to be the sort of man you think they were." TASHA While Rhio was sitting on the opposite end of the bench, he handed me a bottle of water and said, "Here." I was able to catch a peek of his cheeks, and I noticed that he put a bandage on the wound on his face. None of us said a thing. When he was taking care of the wolf's body earlier, the only thing I could do was avert my look. After everything that took place, I'm still in a daze. I killed an animal with my bare hands, it's not something that I should be proud of. "I won't disclose anything about what happened," he broke the silence. "It's not my business to mind other people's lives so don't stress about it." "It was the very first time that I had ever done something like that," I confessed to him. I fiddled with my fingers to calm myself a bit but it was of no use. "I know," he said. "If you're used to doing something like that, you wouldn't tremble like how you did earlier. You appeared to be in complete shock." That's when everything dawned on me all over again.
