TASHA
After learning what Rendall had done this morning, I found it difficult to concentrate during our class. I'm at a loss because I couldn't figure out what he was trying to accomplish or why he was doing it. No matter how hard I try to hurt him with my words and even with my deeds, he won't give up. It's as if he's tied to where he's at right now, and he doesn't seem to desire to be anywhere else but with me.
I kept on sneaking glances in his direction from time to time, but he never attempted to lift his head from the table. Until we ended our class, he didn't leave his seat immediately like the usual.

TASHA What am I thinking? Why did I let him do that? I held on to my head, stressing myself out about what happened inside the infirmary. Nobody caught us in the act of kissing, but the main question that I've been pondering ever since I hit the right state of mind was, why did I let him do that? TASHA When I showed up at the university's main gate, there was quite a commotion. I checked the time, and my temples wrinkled a little when I saw that there are scarcely five minutes left before the classes start but, various students were as yet assembled there — particularly girls. I gander at the man situated before his work area and I saw that it was Rhio. TASHA "Upon doing extensive research, I learned that Rhio was a reigning champion in an international design competition. That explains why they wanted him to participate in the contest even though he's a transferee," Sadie told me from the other line. "I'll send you a link." I went up to my bed before opening the link that she sent me. It was a photo of Rhio taken six months ago from another university. He was holding the championship trophy alongside his professor. "He's certainly an eye candy and the man of my fantasies," Sadie complimented him as if he was the most beautiful guy she has ever seen. I rolled my eyes. "You've been saying those same words with numerous guys on your list. A huge number of them turned out not to be the sort of man you think they were." TASHA While Rhio was sitting on the opposite end of the bench, he handed me a bottle of water and said, "Here." I was able to catch a peek of his cheeks, and I noticed that he put a bandage on the wound on his face. None of us said a thing. When he was taking care of the wolf's body earlier, the only thing I could do was avert my look. After everything that took place, I'm still in a daze. I killed an animal with my bare hands, it's not something that I should be proud of. "I won't disclose anything about what happened," he broke the silence. "It's not my business to mind other people's lives so don't stress about it." "It was the very first time that I had ever done something like that," I confessed to him. I fiddled with my fingers to calm myself a bit but it was of no use. "I know," he said. "If you're used to doing something like that, you wouldn't tremble like how you did earlier. You appeared to be in complete shock." That's when everything dawned on me all over again.

I didn't bother to say a thing because my head is muddled with thoughts of the way Tasha acted toward me earlier this afternoon. Knowing that she came out with Rhio felt like I was betrayed by the person whom I trusted the most. I understand that she's still in the process of accepting everything—her identity and us being mated to each other—but it's not a valid justification for her to go out with the man whom she just met. She doesn't even know him, yet it appears like she trusts him more than me.
