Aria’s POV

I rolled out of the mat I was sleeping on, my body damp with sweat, my chest rising and falling quickly. I barely noticed the cold floor beneath me as I scrambled to my feet, panic tightening around my throat like a rope.

“My Lior!” I screamed.

Before I could even understand what I was doing, I felt Kael’s strong arms grab me from behind.

“Aria!” he said, his voice filled with panic. “What happened? Are you okay?”

He held me, trying to steady me, but I was shaking so badly I thought my legs would give out. I clutched his arms, my nails digging into his skin.

“My baby…” I whispered.

Kael pulled back just enough to look at me, his face pale and wide-eyed.

“Which baby?” he asked, his voice soft but edged with fear.

I looked at him, really looked at him. I didn’t need to see to know the expression he wore. I could hear it in his breathing, feel it in the trembling of his hands. He was scared. For me. For the baby. For everything.

My hands fell slowly from his arms as I looked d

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SEVENTY-FOUR

Gracie’s POVThe cell door slammed shut behind me with a loud, final thud. The sound echoed through the empty hall like a punishment.I stood still for a moment, staring at the rough stone walls, trying to catch my breath. My legs shook, and I felt the weight of my swollen belly pulling me down. I slowly lowered myself onto the cold floor, pressing my back against the wall. The pain in my body was nothing compared to the pain in my heart.Tears slid down my cheeks, silent and steady. I didn’t even wipe them away.Everything had fallen apart.Lucien had locked me up. My father was dead. My sister was gone. I had trusted Darren, and now people were paying for my mistake with blood. And worst of all, I had betrayed the one man who ever truly saw me. My father. By hiding everything about Darren from.him. I held my stomach with both hands, whispering softly, “I’m so sorry.”The silence in the cell was thick. The air was cold. But the tiny flutter inside me reminded me that I was not alone

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SEVENTY-THREE

Alpha Lucien’s POVThe air was heavy with smoke and blood. Screams echoed in the distance, and the scent of pain clung to everything. Warriors were dragging injured bodies from the battlefield. Some were crying. Some were silent. Too many were not moving at all.But I didn’t look at them.I looked at her.Gracie stood by the edge of the field, frozen. Her eyes were wide, her lips trembling, her hands shaking by her sides. She looked like a ghost in the middle of a war zone. I saw her mother and Tavin running towards her. My chest tightened, but I forced myself to move.I walked toward her, no, I stormed toward her. My blood was hot. My thoughts were a mess. Rage pushed every step forward until I stood right in front of her.“You caused all of this,” I growled, my voice raw and shaky. Her lips parted, but she said nothing.“If you hadn’t locked everyone up… if you hadn’t listened to him…” My voice cracked. I pointed behind me, where warriors were bleeding, where my pack was suffering.

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SEVENTY-TWO

Alpha Lucien’s POVAs he fell, time seemed to slow around me.The battlefield’s chaos, the screams, the clash of swords, the snarls of wolves, faded into a muffled echo. All I could see was him.The head of my guard. My friend. My most loyal warrior.Blood burst from his chest in a wide arc, staining the air with red. His body twisted as he fell, his mouth slightly open, his eyes already beginning to dim.“No!” I shouted, my voice cracking as I pushed through the mess of battle.I shoved aside a rogue, slashed through another with my claws, and leapt forward with everything I had left in me. My legs burned, my breath was short, but I didn’t care.I caught him just before he hit the ground. His body was heavy, so much heavier than I remembered. His blood soaked through my shirt, hot and thick, and I could feel his life slipping away in my arms.“Stay with me,” I begged. My voice trembled. “Please, don’t do this. Don’t leave.”His eyes fluttered open, cloudy but aware. “Alpha…”“I’m her

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SEVENTY-ONE

Alpha Lucien’s POV“Alpha…”I heard a soft knock and the quiet voice of one of my Lunas outside the door.“What?!” I snapped, louder than I meant to. My voice was sharp and full of exhaustion.“I—I just wanted to ask if you’ve eaten,” she said nervously. I saw her standing halfway in the doorway, her hand holding the knob like she was ready to run. Before I could say anything else, she bowed her head, stepped back, and closed the door quietly.I sat still, staring at the closed door for a moment. Then I rubbed both hands down my face and sighed deeply.Food? How could I think of food right now?My whole world was falling apart. My beta, Alvarick was dead.My son, Damian, the boy I thought I buried in my mind years ago… was alive. Not only alive, but filled with hatred. He didn’t come back for peace. He came back to destroy. And the pack…My pack was bleeding.I had ruled this pack for decades with strength. I built it with my blood. I made hard choices, unforgivable ones, yes, but alw

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SEVENTY

Alpha Lucien’s POV“You’re a bad father,” Damian said. His voice was cold, sharp, like a blade slicing through years of silence.I froze. The words hit harder than any physical blow. My breath caught in my chest, and for a long moment, I couldn’t find the strength to speak. Damian stood in front of me, he was alive, flesh and bone, not a ghost or some hallucination, but real.He wasn’t supposed to be here.He wasn’t supposed to be alive.I had buried him in my mind years ago, locked him away behind regrets and excuses. I tried to erase that part of my life. Tried to move on. But now, all those memories came flooding back. The weight of the past I thought I had escaped suddenly bore down on me again. When Kael disappeared and a rogue whispered his name, Damian, I told myself it was a lie. A cruel coincidence. But now, standing here, it was no longer a rumor.Damian was back. And he was angry. The kind of anger that doesn’t fade with time. The kind that burns quietly, feeding on years

  • Mated to my Stepfather, claimed by my Stepbrother   SIXTY-NINE

Aria’s POVThe moment I closed my eyes, I reached out to Kael through the mindlink. I wasn’t even sure if it would work again, not after the last time. But I needed to try. I focused on him, on his voice, on his scent, on everything that tied me to him.Kael… Kael, can you hear me?For a moment, there was nothing. My heart sank. Then suddenly, his voice came through, weak but clear in my mind.Aria? Is that really you?Tears burned my eyes. Yes, it’s me! Where are you?I don’t know… I think they moved me again. It’s cold… stone floors… I hear dripping water. His breathing was heavy. He sounded like he was in pain.Don’t worry. I’ll find you, I said, my voice trembling.I stood up, my body already reacting to the urgency in my heart. My muscles shifted. Bones cracked and reshaped. Fur stretched across my skin. Freya, my wolf, took over.I leapt out of the cave without looking back. The forest passed in a blur of trees, branches snapping under my paws as I ran. My heart raced, not just
